Chanel Exceptionnel Mascara ($30.00) is a mascara I often reach for since I’ve tried it. I love the intensity of the black, the length it gives, and it doesn’t clump up too easily. It’s a bit pricey, but I do really like the formula and what it does to my lashes. It almost edges out my beloved MAC Plushlash mascara, but the price makes it not quite as fabulous. Still experimenting with my camera, except I forgot to actually experiment. I got distracted (as per usual!), and I only ended up taking one set of photos, so I didn’t have much to choose from (read that as only one photo per angle, so there was nothing to choose from!).
You will need the following…
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. With the 239, apply Melon pigment with water-based mixing medium on the lower lid. On the inner lid, pack Going Bananas eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Fab & Flashy eyeshadow to the middle portion of the lid. Apply Coppering eyeshadow lightly on outer portions of the lid. Darken crease with Passionate eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Rule eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Honey Liner on lower lash line, and Blacktrack fluidline on the upper lash line using the 209. Apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Other Worldly blush using the 129, then highlight with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer with the 188. Apply Fashionably Fuchsia lipstick to lips, and then top with Tartlette lipglass for color and shine.

This was a look I wore last weekend, super, duper simple. I normally wouldn’t have even bothered with colored liner, but I really wanted to try out my Guerlain Lagun Bleu khol, since I haven’t had a chance to yet.

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Lagun Bleu on lower lash line, and then apply Guerlain Bleu Cerise mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Margin blush using the 129, then highlight with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer with the 188. Apply Sunsational lipstick to lips, and then top with Gold Rebel lipglass for color and shine.

I did this look yesterday Just trying to use Bright Future from Style Warrior & make it work for me! It’s better than the last round, but in truth, it doesn’t top Going Bananas or Bright Sunshine — I’d prefer both of those over Bright Future. I find Chrome Yellow to be hard to wear, because it is so yellow, and I think the same issue is here with Bright Future.

With the 239, apply Quick Frost pigment with water-based mixing medium on the lower lid. On the inner lid, pack Bright Future eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Firespot eyeshadow to the middle and outer portions of the lid. Overlay outer lid with Coppering eyeshadow. Darken crease with Rule eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Texture eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Soft Force eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Lucky Liner on lower lash line. Apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Eversun blush using the 129, then highlight with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer with the 188. Apply Brave New Bronze lipstick to lips, and then top with Tartlette lipglass for color and shine.
