Chanel Pimpante Rouge Allure Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brightened tangerine orange. It has a very faint tint of pink along with a golden peach shimmer-sheen. When applied, if you have any natural pink tones in your lips, it tends to look more coral (as it does on me). Burberry Devon Sunset is pinker and less shimmery. MAC Jazzed is lighter, peachier. Chanel Chalys is darker, redder, less shimmery. Chanel Ruban Rose is lighter, more frosted.
It’s mostly opaque, but there’s a bit of sheerness there that allows the natural lip color to come through enough to alter the color (and in my case, add more pink to it). I can see Pimpante working well on neutral to warmer complexions. It may be a little orange on cooler complexions, but the translucency will tone it down. It wore for four hours on me, and when I wore it back-to-back, it was slightly drying. The frosted finish without a creamier formula left my lips looking less-than-stellar.
As a fiend for all things coral, I loved the color, but the formula was less impressive and could use improvement, particularly in regards to hydration.

Of the new Rouge Allures that I’ve reviewed so far, I liked Extatique the least, as far as the formula went. There’s something about this shade that yielded a drier consistency, and with the frosted finish, I felt it looked dry on my lips, too. It wasn’t hydrating when I wore it, though it lasted six hours, and I wouldn’t say it dried my lips out. The texture could be creamier, and for a formula described as hydrating, this falls short. It did deliver mostly opaque color payoff (and it seemed sheer when swatched, so I was happy to see it was as pigmented as Chanel describes).
The color is fun and bright, but it lacks hydration, and the consistency of the formula could be creamier, which would give it a better appearance when applied.

I noticed that it looked darker and warmer in the tube, but when applied, it’s more muted (at least, compared to the color of the tube itself!). Enjouee delivered full color coverage, which applied evenly, but I did notice that it had a more noticeable sheen–almost looking a bit frosty. The texture seemed a little drier compared to Coromandel, which was the first shade I tested of the newly reformulated Rouge Allures. I wore this shade for six hours, and my lips felt slightly dehydrated. Not chapped or cracked but the lipstick could have been more hydrating with its longer-lasting formula. So while it hits it out of the park for having rich color payoff and long-wear, as promised, it misses on the hydration.
I wish it had more moisturizing properties, because it left my lips a bit dry after wearing it. It had good pigmentation and wore well and long, though!

The new Rouge Allure formula is supposed to have “concentrated, ultra thin pigments” for full color coverage with a satin finish and “lasting comfort.” The latter from “special hydrating agents” that “leave lips supple and protected.” Coromandel is richly pigmented with full color coverage that is finished with a natural, satiny sheen. It applies evenly without effort, and the color slides on easily, though the formula isn’t so creamy that it feels or looks heavy applied. The color sits comfortably on the lips.
Truthfully, I didn’t notice any difference between the new formula and the original. I feel like saying, “It seemed a little creamier…” is pulling at straws; the effect of knowing that they’re different but not feeling that difference. It’s not a bad thing, as the original formula was quite good. This particular shade wore for six hours and was lightly hydrating during that time period.
Chanel’s Rouge Allure packaging is head-to-toe luxury; it has a black lacquered metal exterior case that closes with a satisfying click. Inside, it’s a gold metal tube with Chanel imprinted on the side of the lipstick itself.

Chanel Hyde Park Rouge Allure Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “vibrant coral-pink” that is named for landmark Royal Park in London. It’s a limited edition shade from the Knightsbridge collection, which is an exclusive to chanel.com.
It’s a pink-coral with a creamy finish, so it has a subtle natural sheen. The color coverage is mostly opaque, and it applies evenly without settling into lip lines. Chanel Insolente is darker and pinker. OCC Trollop is more coral, brighter. Guerlain Giulette is more coral with a golden sheen. Dolce & Gabbana Splendid is slightly pinker.
Chanel’s Rouge Allure formula is my favorite Chanel lipstick formula; it’s long-wearing (this shade wore for five hours), comfortable to wear, and moisturizing. The creamy consistency makes it a dream to apply, as it glides over the lips and deposits lots of color with very little product or effort.
It feels more like a summer kind of color, even though it made its debut in December! If you love the idea of coral but often find they are too orange or warm-toned for you, this pink-coral may be right up your alley.

Chanel Belgravia Rouge Allure Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “lustrous and vibrant rose.” It’s a limited edition shade from the Knightsbridge collection, which is an exclusive to chanel.com. Chanel says the color “pays tribute to a region of London, rich with history and classic architecture.” It’s a brightened strawberry pink with lighter pink shimmer. The color coverage is mostly opaque, though my lip freckle is still visible. Chanel’s Rouge Allure formula is one of my favorites, and it’s my favorite lipstick formula by Chanel. The formula is long-wearing (this shade wore for five hours), comfortable to wear, and moisturizing. It’s a little less color coverage than I would expect from a Rouge Allure, but it’s not sheer.
I think these types of pinks can be so flattering across skin tones, because it’s warm without being orange or coral, bright without being neon, and the soft shimmer gives lips a lush look. I couldn’t find an exact dupe of this shade, but there were a few shades that were similar. Laura Mercier Evening Pink reminded me of a much more intense version of this shade. Bobbi Brown Mod Pink is similar but has no shimmer. Dolce & Gabbana Splendid is slightly more coral. Dolce & Gabbana Fuchsia is similar but a touch redder.
The rosiness of the shade should make it appropriate for an extra pop of color during spring, but it'll be really lovely during summer. This works well with neutral eyes while still keeping your look sweet and balanced between soft and bold.
