Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “coppery beige.” It’s a peach and copper-shimmered orange-brown. It’s orange without being loudmouth orange; it’s not neon or bold, as the orange is tempered by warm brown undertones. Bobbi Brown Canary is more golden, less color in its base. Chanel Calypso is redder, more opaque, and less shimmery. MAC Secret Identity is a bit more orange. NARS Hopi is browner.
Attirance has semi-opaque color coverage; there’s a lot of shimmer, while the base color adds warmth and gives lips a more orange appearance. I still saw some translucency to the color, so I wouldn’t call it opaque, though the formula is supposed to be “color-rich,” non-sticky, and have “high-shine.” Chanel nailed the glossiness; Attirance is incredibly high-shine and reflective. It has comfortable, long-wearing (five hours), and hydrating feel on the lips.
This formula is always a nice one to test, because it wears well, long, and hydrates lips from start to finish. Attirance lacks some of the pigment you'd expect from this range, but it's not too far off.

The Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss (whew! that’s a mouthful) is supposed to be a color-rich, non-sticky, and high-shine. Merveille applies easily with opaque color–and lots of shimmer. The size of the shimmer is fine but noticeable, so it reflects and catches the light well, giving lips a very sparkling look. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear–very hydrating–and lasts for five hours. The tapered doe-foot applicator tapers on both ends, and it actually fits the natural curve of the lip well for application. The consistency isn’t too thick or too thin, and it never gets tacky.
This is one of the best-performing shades of Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss I've tried; it has rich color, beautiful application, and feels great while it wears.

As a new and limited edition shade for fall, it’s a very easy shade to wear. There’s just enough color to change-up your natural lip color (unless you have really pigmented lips, then I think this might lighten a wee bit but will most likely get lost) with noticeable yet not overwhelming shimmer. It’s wearable and everyday in its overall hue. This might translate as boring to some and dupeable to others, but it’s a shade I could see someone using and finishing, especially if they’re looking for work-friendly lip color.
Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss is designed as a non-sticky, long-wearing, comfortable to wear, and shiny formula with “bold color. The gloss has a faint floral scent but no taste, and it come in a black lacquered square-tube with a tapered doe-foot applicator. It has a gel-like texture that’s neither thin nor thick, which easily slides around the lips but doesn’t bunch up on itself. Though relatively non-sticky, it gets a little tacky after the first half hour or so (but not enough that I’d describe it as sticky). Troublant manages to wear for four hours, which is about average for me, though certainly short of what I’d describe as long-wearing. The color coverage is only semi-opaque, so it’s not exactly bold color.
I like the formula as it stands, and the only area it needs improvement is wear: it’s just not long-wearing, but it does wear well, evenly, and comes in at four-hour wear, which is more typical of most glosses (that aren’t designated as long-wearing). If the wear isn’t a deal-breaker, then the texture might sway you.

It’s new for fall but limited edition. It comes in a black lacquered square tube that has heft and feels luxurious when held. The applicator is a flocked sponge with an indentation on both sides. Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss is supposed to be non-sticky, shiny, long-wearing, and comfortable to wear with “bold color.” The gloss has a faint floral scent but no detectable taste. The texture is gel-like, so it’s not thin but it’s not thick or goopy; it slides and moves around easily but doesn’t bleed or feather (though the majority of the shades are fairly light!).
Caprice has full color coverage–entirely hiding my lip freckle–and despite its lightness in color, it doesn’t really settle noticeably into lip lines and applies evenly. The texture is more non-sticky than not, but there is just a hint of tackiness that develops over time. While it no doubt wears well and wears away evenly, it only lasts four and a half hours on me–above average but not by much (average for gloss is three to four hours). The biggest area this product lost points on was its wear; it’s just not a long-wearing gloss. Good wear and incredibly comfortable on with opaque color, and it even has a little more gloss than a lot of glosses on the market–worth a look-see as long as the wear isn’t a deal-breaker for you.

Chanel Triomphal Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for oz.) is described as a “shimmering red,” and it’s a new–but limited edition–shade for the holidays. It’s a bright, blue-based pink-tinted red with pink and ruby red sparkly flakes. It applies evenly and yields mostly opaque color–there’s a slight translucency to it. MAC Driven by Love is redder, less pink. MAC Wicked Ways is brighter but closer in color.
The Extrait de Gloss formula is supposed to deliver rich color and intense shine with a gel texture that’s comfortable (and not sticky) and looks “luminous [and] full … for hours.” The English description of the name actually calls it out as a “Long Wear Lip Gloss.” I find the formula isn’t sticky at first, but it develops a slight tackiness over the first half hour that continues for the remainder of the time worn. It’s not overly tacky, just barely so. These wear three to four hours on me, which is about average, but nothing long-wear for me–Chanel’s Glossimers last three to four hours, so I would imagine these would have worn longer than that. Triomphal wore four hours well but looked faded by the fifth hour. The texture is smooth, gel-like, and it is comfortable to wear and not drying over time.
It's a great holiday red with an underlying pink tint that makes it look less like a really bold, in-your-face red. It's also cooler-toned, so it will compliment cooler skin tones; but the pinkness will enable it to work well on warmer skin tones, too.
