Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss

Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “coppery beige.” It’s a peach and copper-shimmered orange-brown. It’s orange without being loudmouth orange; it’s not neon or bold, as the orange is tempered by warm brown undertones. Bobbi Brown Canary is more golden, less color in its base. Chanel Calypso is redder, more opaque, and less shimmery. MAC Secret Identity is a bit more orange. NARS Hopi is browner.

Attirance has semi-opaque color coverage; there’s a lot of shimmer, while the base color adds warmth and gives lips a more orange appearance. I still saw some translucency to the color, so I wouldn’t call it opaque, though the formula is supposed to be “color-rich,” non-sticky, and have “high-shine.” Chanel nailed the glossiness; Attirance is incredibly high-shine and reflective. It has comfortable, long-wearing (five hours), and hydrating feel on the lips.

Chanel Merveille Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss

Chanel Merveille Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “lilac rosewood.” It is a reddened plum with soft pink shimmer. Bobbi Brown Naked Plum is very similar, but it is a sheerer formula, so it looks lighter applied. MAC Lap of Luxury is a touchd arker and has less shimmer.

Chanel Troublant Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss

Chanel Troublant Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “rose brown.” It’s medium-dark rose with a hint of brown and some mauve, along with multi-colored shimmer–I detected copper, gold, and flecks of teal. Bobbi Brown Naked Plum is pinker, plummier. NARS Oasis is darker, more plum. MAC Spice is like a browner, creamy, opaque variation. MAC Over Indulgence is less pink.

Chanel Caprice Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “delicate pink.” It’s a warm, yellow-toned light-medium peach-tinted pink with soft pink and gold micro-shimmer–surprisingly warm, actually. Bobbi Brown Pink Sorbet is pinker, darker. Chanel Confidence is much pinker and cooler-toned.

Chanel Triomphal Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss

Chanel Triomphal Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for oz.) is described as a “shimmering red,” and it’s a new–but limited edition–shade for the holidays. It’s a bright, blue-based pink-tinted red with pink and ruby red sparkly flakes. It applies evenly and yields mostly opaque color–there’s a slight translucency to it. MAC Driven by Love is redder, less pink. MAC Wicked Ways is brighter but closer in color.
