Green Eyeliners: Your Guide

I’ve split greens into three sections: medium and aqua greens, then dark greens and olive greens.

1. MAC Emerald Sea is a brightened, light-medium green with yellow undertones. (LE)
2. MAC Landscape Green is a medium, grassy green with yellow undertones and a matte finish. (FYI, not safe for water line usage.)
3. Urban Decay Graffiti is a grassy green with subtle yellow undertones and a subtle sheen.
4. CoverGirl Green Glow is a chartreuse green with a warm, gold sheen.
5. Make Up For Ever #17L is a pale chartreuse green with a golden sheen.
6. MAC Colour Matters is a true chartreuse with strong yellow undertones and a matte finish. (LE)
7. NARS Parrot Cay is a pale, aqua green with a matte finish. It is very much like Korres #12.
8. Korres #12 is a pale aqua green with a matte finish. It’s a dupe for NARS Parrot Cay! (DC)
9. Chanel Jade is a dark aqua blue/green with a frosted sheen.

Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner ($28.00 for 0.01 oz.) are budgeproof, smudgeproof, and waterproof automatic twist-up eyeliners. I reviewed this product initially with Cassis Eyeliner, which was a plummy shade. I have nothing new to say — these still wear amazingly without migrating or fading during the day. These are just two more shades swatched and tested for your viewing pleasure.

• Marine (30) is a navy blue with silver shimmer with a darker blackened navy blue base. It’s surprisingly opaque in just one stroke.
• Jade (50) is a lightened greenish teal with silver sheen. This one doesn’t have the heavier shimmer that Marine has–much more of a sheen. This is gorgeous with brown eyes.

RECOMMENDATION: For a nice, long-wearing eyeliner, Chanel’s makes a nice choice–if you don’t mind the price tag.
