Bobbi Brown Shadow Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick
Bobbi Brown Shadow Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($28.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “smoky blue grey.” It’s a creamy, subtly cool-toned gray with a hint of brown. It’s a dark, gray-heavy taupe. Maybelline Tough as Taupe is similar, but it’s lighter. MAC Keep Your Cool is a touch darker and a powder product. MAC Stolen Moment is frosted.
Shadow has a delightfully creamy consistency that makes applying it very easy and quick; it’s blendable, opaque, and covers evenly. However, that creaminess does have a price–it takes a bit longer to dry down, and it is prone to very faint creasing while it is drying down. I recommend lightly blending the product about 5-10 seconds after applying, which helps to minimize/eliminate any creasing while it is drying down. When worn, Shadow lasted for seven hours well, but there was faint creasing after seven and a half hours.

The longer dry-down time means it is prone to creasing before you've even left your vanity, so it does require some extra time/patience to ensure it looks even and crease-free. |
