Bobbi Brown Uber Suede Rich Lip Color ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “golden beige.” It’s a medium-dark reddish plum-brown with a naturally glossy sheen. It’s darker than Bobbi Brown Uber Nude, but they have a similar tone. MAC Shitaki is a bit more subdued. CoverGirl Smolder is redder. Bobbi Brown Moonlight Rose is sheerer and shimmery.

The plummy coloring of this particular shade of brown makes it wearable and more modern; and because it’s not a deep brown, it’s versatile and will wear well across complexions.  Uber Suede is opaque in color coverage, easy to apply because of the creamy, glide-on consistency, and wore for six hours when I test drove it.  The formula itself is lightly hydrating and didn’t leave my lips dry after wear. It’s also scent- and taste-free, which is great for those more sensitive to scents.

Bobbi Brown Uber Nude Rich Lip Color ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “medium rose.” It’s a subtly rose-tinted medium brown with a natural sheen. MAC Spice is very comparable, perhaps a touch rosier. MAC Viva Glam VI is shimmery. MAC Mocha is warmer. Guerlain Galante is redder.

The Rich Lip Color formula is described as lightweight, rich in color, moisturizing, creamy, and long-lasting.  It’s definitely one of my top lipstick formulas.  There’s a nice creaminess that enables even, glide-on color with opaque color coverage, but it doesn’t slip and slide all over.  It doesn’t feel or look thick, which also means you don’t have to worry about the color bunching up on itself.  This shade wore six hours on me, and my lips felt hydrated even after I removed the product.  It’s also scent- and taste-free, which is great for those more sensitive to scents.

Bobbi Brown Uber Beige Rich Lip Color ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “neutral brown beige.” It’s a warm, rosy beige with a healthy amount of pink and a natural sheen. MAC Pure Zen is a smidgen darker and has a slightly frosted finish in comparison. Dior Incognito is more subdued. MAC 3N is lighter.

Uber Beige yields opaque color coverage with little product.  The consistency is creamy without being too slick, so it glides on but doesn’t slip around.  It’s lightly moisturizing, wears five hours, and is scent- and taste-free. I love how creamy and opaque the shade is, but it’s still lightweight and stays in place well.  This shade did not last quite as long as some of the other shades in the range do, but it did last well for a lighter shade.

	If a lot of nudes or beiges seem too peachy, you might like Uber Beige, which throws a little pink. It's warm without turning orange.

Bobbi Brown Beige Gold Rich Lip Color ($23.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “pale nude with golden pearl.” It’s a pale, subtly warmed champagne-nude shimmer lipstick. MAC Annelie is more metallic, lighter. NYX Fortune Cookie is frostier and lighter. MAC To Joy is pinker.

Of the shades released in the Rose Gold collection, Beige Gold is the least pigmented–it’s more like a heavily-dosed shimmer finish with less underlying color. You get semi-sheer to semi-opaque color, and there’s an overall lightening of the natural lip color with plenty of shimmer. This shade only hung on for two and a half hours, which is rather short, though not entirely unexpected, given its light coloring. Because of the higher shimmer content, it didn’t glide on easily as the other shades, which tend to be creamier. Unfortunately, this shade doesn’t deliver on the Rich Lip Color promises of a long-wearing, moisturizing, and full color formula.

Bobbi Brown Pink Peony Rich Lip Color ($23.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “medium-toned pink.” It’s a medium-dark watermelon pink with opaque color coverage and a natural sheen. Bite Beauty Rose is more orange, darker. MAC Full Speed is a bit darker. Bobbi Brown Mod Pink is pinker. Dolce & Gabbana Splendid is slightly pinker. VS Be Mine is darker, brighter.

Pink Peony wore for five and a half hours and needed a reapplication after six and a half hours.  It feels lightweight, despite its creamy consistency, and comfortable to wear.  I never have any post-wear problems–my lips don’t feel dry or chapped even after wearing one of these for six hours or longer.  My experience with Pink Peony was true-to-formula, which is supposed to be long-wearing, moisturizing, and full color coverage.  This is my favorite lipstick formula that Bobbi Brown makes, and I’m so glad to see her continually add new shades to the range.

	This will be very flattering on warmer complexions, but I think it will work on cooler skin tones, too, because it has a lot of pink in it. If you have more red in your natural lip color, this may turn a bit coral.

Bobbi Brown Nude Rose Rich Lip Color ($23.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “medium-tone rose brown.” That description is apt–it’s muted rosy pink with hints of beige-brown that downplay its color and make it more of a neutral shade. theBalm Strawberry is more coral. CoverGirl Heavenly is similar, less pink. Guerlain Cherry Blossom is sheerer and shimmered. Bobbi Brown Heather Pink is browner.

The color coverage was excellent, with full, opaque color in one pass. This formula is supposed to be long-wearing, opaque, and moisturizing, and I could find no fault with Nude Rose, which wore for five and a half hours for me when I trialed it last week. The consistency is creamy enough to enable an easy glide across the lips without pulling or tugging, but it feels thin and lightweight when worn–it doesn’t slip around and cause build-up or lines on the lips if you press them together. It kept my lips moisturized during wear, and my lips didn’t feel worse for the wear afterward either.

	If you're in the market for a color that's wearable but noticeable, Nude Rose is a good bet. The color is neutral and natural enough that it will go with a variety of looks and never dominate.
