Bobbi Brown Pink Sorbet Rich Color Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft pink raspberry.” I’m not seeing raspberry; there are none of those berry tones you’d expect to see. This is more like strawberry milkshake pink if we’re going to go for a berry concoction as a descriptor! I’d describe as a soft, light-medium pink with subtle yellow undertones and white shimmer. It does bear some resemblance to Angel Pink, which I reviewed previously, except this has shimmer, is a touch lighter, and is pinker. The only other shade that seemed similar was Chanel COnfidence, which is darker and sheerer.
Bobbi Brown describes this formulas as having “the full color coverage of a lipstick” but with “The shine of a gloss.” It’s also supposed to “moisturize, condition, and last throughout the day without feathering.” Pink Sorbet has great color coverage–it really delivers on the full color coverage one is expecting. Despite its lighter hue, it applies evenly for the most part with very slight color lines if you press your lips together. The texture is thicker than a balm, but thinner than the average gloss–it has some slip, but it doesn’t slide all over the place. It’s non-sticky and wore for four hours without drying my lips out. Like the brand’s other glosses, it is mint-scented.
This is an ultra-wearable, natural pink with subtle yellow undertones, so it can be worn both by cooler and warmer complexions. The color coverage is opaque, so for those on the hunt for glosses to deliver more lipstick-like color, check this one out.

Bobbi Brown describes this formulas as having “the full color coverage of a lipstick” but with “The shine of a gloss.” It’s also supposed to “moisturize, condition, and last throughout the day without feathering.” The coverage is semi-opaque, mostly due to the high shimmer content rather than a lot of color in the gloss base itself, but it’s definitely not full coverage. It has a thin-like consistency that spreads evenly and easily, so it’s not too thin, but it’s not thick at all. The texture is non-sticky and only somewhat balm-like–it has more slip than your average balm. I was able to wear Rose Gold for three hours before it needed a touch-up, and afterward, my lips still felt hydrated. Like the brand’s other glosses, it is mint-scented.
It's a gorgeous gloss, just not as opaque as the brand describes it as, so if you don't mind that, it's totally worth a look. It should be stunning layered over deeper lipsticks, especially reds and berries.

Bobbi Brown Angel Pink Rich Color Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described simply as “a soft pink.” If you’re not familiar with this particular gloss formula, it’s supposed to yield “the full color coverage of a lipstick” with “the shine of a gloss” while feeling like a balm when worn. It’s also supposed to “moisturize, condition, and last throughout the day without feathering.”
Angel Pink is a warm, yellow-toned medium pink with a glossy shine. The color itself is creamy and mostly opaque, though because of its creamier finish, it does settle into lip lines slightly. The only gloss that seemed a bit similar was MAC Tour de Fabulous, which is a bit less pink and has lots of shimmer. It did remind me of a yellow-toned version of NYX Stella. Chanel Empire is pinker and darker.
Bobbi Brown gets a lot of things right with this gloss formula–it’s as opaque as it’s supposed to be, has a healthy shine as a gloss ought to, and feels comfortable when worn. I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say it’s like a lip balm, because it has a slicker, more slippery texture–more akin to your average non-sticky lipgloss. It lasts between four and five hours on me, but it is a good moisturizing gloss. My lips never feel dry after wearing it, even if I’ve stretched the wear to six hours. This formula is mint-scented but has no real taste.
There are many things to love about this formula; it's moisturizing, wears well, feels nice on, and gives opaque color coverage. The only downside is the creaminess that does cause some color to settle into lip lines.
