Bobbi Brown Bark Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick
Bobbi Brown Bark Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($28.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “rich brown.” It’s a rich, red-toned dark brown with a creamy, mostly matte finish. I couldn’t think of any other cream formulas that were similar in color, but there were several powder alternatives. Make Up For Ever #162 is fully matte. Inglot #326 is less red-toned. MAC Embark is darker. theBalm Mahna-Mahna is very close.
The consistency is creamy and glides on beautifully, evenly, and smoothly with full color coverage. It is blendable and remains blendable just long enough to work but not so long that it has a chance to gather into the creases before you’ve finished. I did have a problem with this one tending to fade along the edges after eight hours, and it wasn’t a problem I experienced with any of the other shades. It was such a bummer, because the color payoff was fantastic, texture was creamy and blendable, and no creasing–but fading is still frustrating!
