Another look I really should be patient and space out my looks, since I don’t do my makeup everyday, but I can’t resist. I must admit, I’m terrible at holding things back, LOL! I tried false eyelashes again, and while I was able to make them work, it didn’t go quite as smoothly (nor as quickly) as the day before. I definitely need to throw this pair of 7s away, though, because one is totally shot! (By the way, still wearing Korres’ Watermelon Tinted Moisturizer in this look.)

You will need the following…

• Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Kelly Green pigment (medium green), Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow (green-cast gold), Bio-Green eyeshadow (medium green), Prussian eyeshadow (dark blue), Atlantic Blue eyeshadow (bright violet-blue), Femme-fi eyeshadow (highlighter), #7 lashes (false eyelashes), Shade fluidline (dark forest green), Urban Decay Graffiti 24/7 Liner (green), Plushlash mascara (black)
• Cheeks: Laura Geller Golden Apricot blush (peachy-pink), Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer (bronzy highlighter)
• Lips: Brave New Bronze lipstick (pinky nude), Tartlette lipglass (coral)

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. With the 239, apply Kelly Green pigment with water-based mixing medium on the lower lid. On the inner lid, pack Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Bio-Green eyeshadow to the middle and outer portions of the lid. Darken crease with Atlantic Blue eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Prussian eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Graffiti Liner on lower lash line, and Shade fluidline on the upper lash line using the 209. Apply #7 lashes to upper lash line, then lightly apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Laura Geller Golden Apricot blush using the 129, then highlight with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer with the 188. Apply Brave New Bronze lipstick to lips, and then top with Tartlette lipglass for color and shine.

Yesterday, I was SO excited! Why? Because I applied false eyelashes for the first time to myself without it taking all day long. False eyelash application is most definitely an area where I lack expertise in (I can tell you all the tricks–I just can’t get them to work for me!), and one of the issues is I just can’t afford to spend an hour fussing with applying them. I don’t even just sit down and watch TV — I’m writing posts or taking photos or going through notes! I am just hoping maybe it’s all finally clicked for me, and I’ll be able to replicate my success next time, LOL!

I’d also like to add that in this look, I am using Korres’ Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturizer SPF30 (you can expect a review later, but just for reference!). The pictures make it look a bit dewy, but I think that’s just me hot after blow-drying my hair. All in all, though, this is one of my favorite looks I’ve done lately, maybe overall, too Hope you like it!

6 Must-Have MAC Blue Eyeshadows

Electric Eel eyeshadow is a ridiculously bright pop of blue. It’s a satin eyeshadow, but it’s smooth, though it almost feels more matte since there’s no real shimmer to it. It is also ridiculously pigmented! If you find the texture too difficult, try Clarity eyeshadow instead, which is similar, but has a Matte2 texture, which is smoother, butterier.

Freshwater eyeshadow is the perfect medium blue. It’s not light, but it isn’t too dark. It has a veluxe pearl finish, which means it has shimmer in its texture, but it looks gorgeous because it is so richly pigmented. This is one of my favorite eyeshadows!

Prussian eyeshadow is a dusty dark blue, and it has a matte finish (it is a Matte2 by definition). It’s smooth without being chalky, and it can add so much dimension to your look (as mattes often do).

Deep Truth eyeshadow is a rich dark navy blue with a frost finish, so it does have a good bit of shimmer in it. Like Freshwater, this is another one of my favorite eyeshadows that I constantly use in blue, green, and teal looks. It also makes an amazing smokey eye when used with blues, grays, or silvers. I love the pigmentation of this particular shade.

Plumage eyeshadow is a gorgeous shade of dark teal-blue with a matte finish. It’s an absolute must, because it offers a shade of blue that’s muted by a bit of teal, and yet it isn’t a teal.

Tilt eyeshadow is a shimmery periwinkle blue with reflection of green. I love this color because it has so many characteristics to it, so it be very versatile when used in looks.

What are your must-have blue eyeshadows?

This look is from yesterday It’s pretty simple, and I had originally intended to wear one of Colour Ready’s bright lipsticks with it, but it definitely did *not* look good with a super bright lip. I can’t figure out why the cheeks stand out so much in pictures, because they SO didn’t in real life. I liked the way the eyes turned out, but I definitely could have paired it with different cheeks/lips to really bring it all together. Maybe next time
