It has a thin, creamy consistency that makes it really easy to apply to the lid. The color can be applied at full strength and opaque color, or it can easily be blended out to a sheer wash of color. My one problem with Bronze Have More Fun was that it faded unevenly and looked patchy after six hours or so, and then it continued down that path for the rest of the time I wore it (full twelve hours in total). Admittedly, from afar, I don’t think anyone would point it out and spot it, but it’s there and shouldn’t be (and others that I’ve already reviewed haven’t had this problem). I didn’t get any creasing or smudging, but I was disappointed with the way it wore overall.
The amount it faded (and how shortly into the wear it started to happen) was really disappointing, especially for a long-wearing product and one that is proven to work well in other shades.

It’s brightening without being too warm-toned; it’s not orange, tan, or red, but it is slightly warm-toned overall. The reflective finish helps make eyes look more awake when it is used as a wash of color. The more neutral coloring also enables it to work well as a universal base shade underneath other eyeshadows. It applied with full color coverage right off the bat, but you can use less or blend out what you’ve applied for sheer coverage, too. I like the versatility of the formula; it’s creamy enough to apply evenly and solidly, but it can be sheered out for lighter looks. RSVP wore for twelve hours on me without creasing, fading, or smudging (no primer). This was one of the best-performing shades from the range.

Benefit Birthday Suit Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “brushed chrome.” It’s a warm, bronzy brown with a hint of gray; that tint is really only apparent when it is worn at full opacity, but the sheerer you wear it, the warmer and browner it appears. bareMinerals First Class is very similar in color but is a powder product. Urban Decay Muai Wowie is lighter, more golden (and a powder product, to boot!). Make Up For Ever #15 is much redder in tone.
I confirmed with Benefit yesterday that the Creaseless Cream Shadows were repackaged but not reformulated–but I did compare with new and old, and I didn’t notice any differences in texture or color. Birthday Suit is kind of a my-lid-but-better kind of shade, for those with neutral to warm undertones. I think this is going to appear slightly more taupe-like in cooler complexions. It had good color payoff without having to build up the color, but the consistency was thin and creamy, which allowed for very easy blending and sheering out of the color, if desired. When I wore Birthday Suit on the lid, it lasted for ten hours well, and there was some slight fading after twelve hours of wear (no primer).
The only ding this product had was that there was noticeable fading after twelve hours of wear, though it was fully intact after ten hours (no primer). Otherwise, nicely pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that applied and blended well on the lid.

The neutral color works well to brighten the lid for light to medium skin tones, and it works as a neutral base underneath eyeshadow. It has a very creamy consistency that glides on well and applies smoothly on the lid. The texture isn’t too thick or too thin, so you get full, opaque color coverage in a single layer, but it sets fast enough that it doesn’t settle into the creases right off the bat. This was the first shade I tested out of Benefit’s repackaged Creaseless Cream Shadows, and it wore well for eight full hours and was slightly faded after twelve hours. The consistency of this shade felt comparable to the original formula (based on other shades).
What I really like is how opaque it applies without having to load up the brush or build-up the color in layers, so it can work well as a base or a wash of color--whichever you feel like!

Benefit Cosmetics Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner ($19.00 for 0.16 oz.) are now available in four new, Sephora exclusive shades: Purple Snap (lavender violet), Silver Spoon (true silver), Tidal Rave (muted teal with gold shimmer), and Ice Shot (icy white). I have three of the four to share with you today.
I loveBenefit’s Creaseless Cream Shadows — I actually gave them an award for best cream eyeshadow last year. They’re just so creamy, smooth, and apply beautifully. They can be applied sheerly for quick color or layered for a more intense look or as a base. I don’t experience any creasing–they last all day for me. And as someone who has owned many for over a year now, they aren’t prone to drying out in their jars, either.
I’m happy to report that these didn’t disappoint! They’re true to Benefit’s cream shadow formula with the creaminess and smoothness I’ve come to love. The colors are easily vibrant but just as easily used sheerly, which makes it a more versatile product.
Purple Snap is a brightened medium purple with softened red undertones. It has light violet micro-shimmer with a subtle sheen–not too frosty, but it’s not matte either.
Silver Spoon is a bright blue-tinged silver with a little mix of gray. The metallic finish is definitely there, but the bluish cast seems to dull it a bit (which isn’t a bad thing).
Tidal Rave is a darkened blue-teal base with green-gold shimmer. This is actually a really cool shade–very lovely–and pretty different from the rest of Benefit’s line-up. It has an almost duochrome nature to it. I was reminded me of MAC’s Surreal Eyeshadow (discontinued).
P.S. — Sephora lists Tidal Rave as Tidal Wave–but my box and bottom of the jar says Rave! So pfft!

RECOMMENDATION: I think Tidal Rave is the most unique shade of the three featured in this post–but I’m totally digging the bluish cast of Silver Spoon, too. It’s kind of like stainless steel over traditional bright silver!
Benefit is the Girly Cure to Your Makeup & Skin Woes
Have you ever tried the ever-feminine Benefit Cosmetics line? Really? Never, you say? Let us fill you in on some of the best products they have to offer. But between you and me, we definitely suggest starting out with their amazing Velvet Eyeshadows, followed by their Creaseless Eyeshadows.

Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows ($19.00) come in twelve shades, and they often put out limited edition ones as part of their seasonal collections. These are easy to wear, last all day, and can be worn alone or under other eyeshadows as a base.
CORALista Blush ($28.00) is a value-sized coral blusher that’s absolutely divine on warmer skin tones, but it isn’t so warm or so coral that it doesn’t work on cooler or paler skin tones, too. (I love how many of Benefit’s products work for a variety of skin tones.) This is a summer staple for me.
Gilded Eyeliner ($20.00) is a quick and dirty way to pop open those peepers and make those eyes look alive, even when you’re operating on little to no sleep. A pearly, golden-yellow works well on the lower water line and inner tear duct to brighten up your eyes.
Full-Finish Lipsticks ($18.00) came back with a vengeance last fall (in 2008) and is available in fourteen shades. These lipsticks are creamy, pigmented, and moisturizing while giving you great wear. One of my favorite lipstick formulas!
One Hot Minute ($30.00) is an all-over loose powder that makes your entire face look brighter and more awake with just a light dusting. It gives a soft, luminous sheen that’s not disco-ball glittery.
Benetint ($28.00) is just one of those cult products that you either adore or you don’t understand the buzz. It’s a great multi-tasking product that you can keep in your makeup bag for any spontaneous occasion. You can use it to add color to cheeks or lips, and one little bottle goes quite a long way. It’s soft and natural–the two must-haves of any cheek/lip stain.
Velvet Eyeshadow ($18.00) is easily one of the best eyeshadow formulations on the market. Velvety, silky, and smooth describe the finish of these lovelies. Pigmented and true-to-color bring it all home. The only downside? There are only ten shades! I adore, ADORE Bikini Line.
