Benefit Skinny Jeans Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “pretty pewter.” It’s a dirty taupe brown with a sprinkling of champagne shimmer and a metallic sheen. It runs slightly cool-toned on the skin and in the pot; it may look even cooler-toned on those with naturally cool complexions. MAC Silver Birch is lighter, grayer. MAC Modern Pewter is much lighter. Benefit No Pressure Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “rich fawn.” It’s a bronze-shimmered, medium-dark brown with a hint of gray to keep it from being too warm-toned. It has a frosted, metallic finish that reflects a fair amount of light even when sheered out. Benefit Birthday Suit is lighter and more golden. Maybelline Bad to the Bronze is warmer, more of a true bronze. Make Up For Ever #15 is a few shades darker.

Whew! While the last two shades I’ve reviewed haven’t been much to write home about, No Pressure brings its A-game!  It has a creamy, lightweight consistency that goes on opaque without having to layer and layer product on–and there’s no worries about it applying unevenly or catching on itself.  It smooths on beautifully and sheers out easily, too, if desired.  Because it’s a richer, more pigmented color, it also works well as an eyeliner.  After I wore No Pressure for twelve hours, there were no signs of fading or creasing.

Benefit Blue My Mind Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as an “arctic blue.” It’s a pale, silvery blue with a frosted, metallic finish. It’s surprisingly only subtly cool-toned, despite its blue/silver coloring. MAC Blue Willow is more glittery and lighter. Cinderella Glass Slipper is a touch darker and less metallic. Buxom Husky is darker. Giorgio Armani #10 is very comparable.

This shade is incredibly reflective, and it tends to look more like a silvery white on the lid than blue–so if blue eyeshadow isn’t your thing, don’t let the color in the pot fool you! When paired with cooler-toned colors and other blues/teals, it will look bluer, but generally, it is a gray-ish white. The pigmentation of Blue My Mind was so-so; I wasn’t able to build up the color to get really opaque color, but it applied evenly for the most part even if there was a sheerness to the color overall.  I did experience noticeable creasing after ten hours of wear but no fading.  I also noticed that this one was coming apart from the edge of the glass, so the lid may not have been screwed on tightly enough after being manufactured.

Benefit Always a Bridesmaid Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “pearly lavender.” It’s a medium-dark lavender with neutral-cool undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. Tarina Tarantino Violet Storm #4 is slightly pinker and a powder product. MAC Amethyst is pinker and lighter.

It had so-so color payoff, and it wasn’t very buildable; I couldn’t get opaque color coverage, even if I applied a layer, waited thirty seconds, applied another, and so forth. At best, I was able to achieve semi-sheer to semi-opaque color. The bigger problem I had was that this tended to catch on itself and ended up looking patchy and uneven once applied. I tried using fingertips, fluffy brush, sponge applicator, and a firm, flat brush to apply this evenly but didn’t have luck with any of those methods. For the most even results, I recommend applying a very little amount and blending it out with fingertips or a fluffy brush (I like MAC’s 217 for this kind of blending) and used as a wash of color. As an eyeliner, this did better, but it smudged out a bit while setting.

	This particular shade of lavender is one I couldn't think of a lot of dupes for (and nothing was that close), so it's disappointing that the formula didn't apply better.

Benefit Holy Smokes Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “smoldering charcoal.” It’s a darkened gray-brown–a really, really dark taupe–but as it sheers out, it becomes more and more taupe in color. Tarte Concrete Jungle is a bit lighter. Inglot #444 is browner. MAC Nebula is a bit darker. Make Up For Ever #2 is lighter.

Holy Smokes can be built to more opaque color, but it is best done in layers, because otherwise it has a tendency to gather in the creases while it is setting. The consistency felt a little thicker and wetter compared to some of the other shades in the range, and a thicker layer sometimes would crease just slightly. It took about thirty seconds for a full, opaque layer of product to dry, whereas a sheerer and thinner layer took ten to fifteen seconds. Once set, it didn’t crease or fade for the next twelve hours.

Benefit My Two Cents Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “polished copper.” It’s a muted copper-bronze with a bronze-shimmered frosted finish. Estee Laudewr Chained is similar–slightly warmer. MAC Cactus Thorn is browner. Dior Golden Savannah is less warm. Urban Decay Chase has less copper coloring. bareMinerals Cognac is darker, browner. Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone #3 is darker, browner.

It had excellent color payoff, and a fantastic consistency that lightweight, creamy, and easy to apply. I had no problems getting opaque color on the lid, and it didn’t fade or crease, even after twelve hours.  It’s amazing how two shades can perform so differently, even when applied side-by-side! What’s interesting about this shade is that the more opaque you opt for, the less overtly copper/warm-toned it seems; it gets this golden brown coloring that’s soft and muted.  When it’s blended out, the copper-brown coloring comes forth.
