1. Roll the primer brush across lashes and focus on separation of lashes so it doesn’t look or become clumpy.
2. Use a lash comb to help separate lashes and even out the coverage of lashes in the primer.
3. Let it set for a few seconds before applying mascara (but not too long).

1. I like cleansing oils for removing heavier makeup, because they really break down the makeup and remove everything while cleansing all in one step.
2. If you are wearing really heavy makeup, bold lip color, etc., you might want to take a cotton pad with makeup remover on it (I use Lancome Bi-Facil usually) and remove that portion first.  I’ll do this if I wear really bold lips, so I don’t smear red lipstick all over my skin!
3. You can use toner on a cotton pad to remove last bits of makeup and any makeup around the hair line or Q-tip dipped in remover for eyeliner.

1. Try resting your elbow on a flat, stable surface
2. Apply in short, quick lines, connecting them rather than doing one fluid line until you’ve gotten the hang of it
3. Try applying before you apply any other makeup – either to practice or to get the majority of the outline ready and then just go over it at the end to darken/redefine. This lets you have more freedom and flexibility to clean up if you make any mistakes without ruining your eyeshadow!

1. I live in a dry climate, so I have only had to deal with humidity on a few occasions, so these are the things I’ve done to help but I’m no expert on humidity!  Waterproof mascara/eyeliner is very, very helpful.
2. Tinted moisturizer and liquid foundation tended to hold up better for me, because if there was any “melting” they could be blended/smoothed out a bit more without turning caky.
3. Primer became more and more necessary!

1. I prefer to place the first initial bit of polish just below the center of the nail and pull it down to the bottom and then back to the top.
2. I use one thin-medium coat for my first coat, then a medium to medium-thick coat on the second one. This is especially true with any streakier polish.
3. Quick-drying top coat or speed drying top coat is a must to minimize sit-and-do-nothing time!

1. Wear ratty clothes, make sure to cover your working space with newspaper/drop cloth to avoid staining anything in the area.
2. Make sure to invest in shampoos/conditioners that are safe for colored hair so you help to reinforce your color.
3. Consider using semi-permanent dye the first few times!
