1) Pearl CCB, and Revlon’s 3D Extreme mascara. This mascara has the worst reviews on MUA but I think it’s absolutely exceptional!
2) I use Blot powder for touch ups and I reapply lipgloss or lipstick.

How often do I buy new makeup? As often as I can!(LOL) I feel the need to buy new highend makeup each week, but realistically I can’t afford to. I’ve tried buying drugstore makeup to quench the cravings, but it never really works–the quality, colors, textures, etc, never live up to my standards.
So, I’ve made a little deal with myself to buy new highend makeup once a month!

A Viva Glam VI SE. Though MAC’s “Lustre” finish isn’t my favorite, that soft, cool blue-pink is perfect.

Lipstick, lipstick, lipstick! Also I put a little Paula’s Choice moisturizer under my eyes to re-moisten my concealer maybe twice daily; if it’s super-dry, I pat a little all over my foundation or bare skin.

As often as possible! OK, really: I buy 1-to-(maybe, at most)5 eyeshadows or lipsticks per month; new mascara every 4-5 months; foundation, concealer & powder twice per year. Unless something special, or a gorgeous collection comes along, then all bets are off.

1. Covergirl eye shadow in lime alive. I know covergirl! Normally, their eyeshadows are really chalky but I wanted to try this one because it was a pretty lime color. I have no problem spending $14+ on neutral shades that I know I will go through but I can’t spend that much on crazy colors that I might only use a handful of times. I was really surprised how much I liked this. There was some fallout but the color payoff was great and you can’t beat $3! Very happy.

Best beauty purchase you’ve made in the past month?: MAC STROBE CREAM. i was never really interested in strobe cream, but the MUA at my counter gave me a sample last month. so when i ran out, i bought the full size. i wear it EVERYDAY. and it’s perfect for the spring/summer season. i love mixing it with either studio sculpt or select cover up to make my own version of a tinted moisturizer.
