Happy CNY Christine!
Thanks, Rachael!
Do you celebrate? If so, happy new year!
I missed last week not having link love….I’m sure you needed a break from MAC Archie collection. I used to play Mah Jong as a kid with family. Now I dont even remember how it is played out. I’m Chinese… BTW. I truly missed my grandma. She made New Years so happening and celebrated it. She saved those large yellow grapefruit skin, dried it and used it to wash her hair. She knew what to buy in SF Chinatown. Happy Chinese New Year to all…and I was born in the Year of the Serpent…getting old.
It sounds like she made it very special to you! Does anyone else in your family do similar rituals?
My cousin in Boston does the Chinese ritual. Dinner the night before and dinner tonight. She is my second cousin. My mother and cousin are both serpents too. Too bad they outlaw firecrackers. That is to scare off the evil spirits.
Christine, you celebrate Lunar New Year? Are you part Chinese?
I’m half Vietnamese
Wow, that really makes more sense now. You always had something about you that made you prettier in a unique way I couldn’t explain. Now I understand. That’s awesome.
Happy Lunar New Year! It sounds like you had a great time yesterday. For my family the fun started Friday and will continue all day today! It’s going to be crazy visiting so many relatives today, visiting temples, and eating lots of treats!
Happy Lunar New Year, Christina!
Happy Lunar New Year
Thanks, Phyrra!
Thank you for the reference. As always, I’m very, very grateful!
Happy New Year! Are you good at Mahjongg? I went through a phase where I played it obsessively on the computer, so I imagine it must be loads of fun to do so with others.
Not really – I don’t know half the rules, lol!
Christine–thank you so so so much for the link love! I’ve been reading your Archie reviews and loving your coverage. It never feels like a true MAC release till I see it on Temptalia! Thanks again for the link and also the great coverage of the collection!
Thank you, Amy!
I’m a little late on commenting, but Happy New Year Christine!
I’m curious as to what your favorite Vietnamese dishes are? (My mom made canh chua to celebrate. I could eat it all day!)
Happy new year!
I like pho!
