I wanted to get a santa hat for my cat but I wasn’t sure she’d like it, so I just settled on a red bow (which she doesn’t seem to mind at all!) Mellan, on the other hand, is a superb costume wearer 
Bows are a great idea!
I mostly do collars now, since 1) he’s not bothered by them at all, 2) easy for him to wear for weeks at a time, and 3) I don’t have to worry he’ll take it off and eat it, LOL!

Mellan-mania…you are lucky your dog let you do whatever you want to him…very photogenic dog.
We tried really hard when he was a puppy to pretty much annoy him and poke and prod him so he could take anything – e.g. vet visits, kids pulling on his tail or ears, etc. Since he’s a lab, he’s very mouthy, too, so we spent time trying to get him to understand what he can/can’t put in his mouth and how hard he could bite down. He can’t carry an egg in his mouth without breaking it, LOL, but he is fairly gentle

Awww. I absolutely enjoy all of the Mellan pictures. They make me smile and Mellan looks so much like my boy, Buddy, who we lost last May. This Christmas was a little hard because he so loved opening his presents.
