Happy Sunday!

How’s your weekend treating you?  We spent last evening at my parents’ house for dinner as my maternal grandmother arrived yesterday afternoon.  I haven’t seen her in a couple of years, so it was nice to see her again!

There were some interesting stuff in those links. I really liked Dusty’s review of the E/L collection. If there wasn’t the animal-cruelty issue, I would be all over those gorgeous lipsticks and some of the nail varnishes.

But what I really have to comment on is the Karl Lagerfeld/Shu Uemura collaboration. Bloody hell! That is NOT what I expected. Not.One.WHIT! The colours are all warm, shiny, glittery and, for the most part, quite neutral without a single dark counterpart. And the stickers. The stickers!! Stickers+Karl Lagerfeld=Does.Not.Compute. I can’t imagine him agreeing to anime-like Japanese stickers, even for a Japanese company. I’ve also spent an inordinate amount of time trying to imagine just how and what he paints with Shu Uemura. Canvases? Watercolours? With eyeshadow? Lipsticks? My head hurts trying to process all this, but a big thumbs up to the British Beauty Blogger for her review, the fun tidbits, and for the sneak peak.

    • Karl Lagerfield looks like he is high on drugs….why Shu Uemura, classy company, collaborated with him is beyond me…so what if he did French Collections back then.
