NARS Artistry Brushes
NARS Artistry Brushes

Launching April 1st, NARS Artistry Brushes will feature 16 different shapes. (You can see the full list of what’s to come with pricing and information here.) The brushes range from $28 to $52. Each has a long, matte black handle with a matte black metal ferrule. The bottom of the handle is round and flat with a shiny red tip. It’ll take me at least a couple of weeks to work through these and use them enough to give you some thoughts–I really like to use and test brushes for several weeks (sometimes months) to see what I reach for, what works for this application or that one, and to see how they hold up to multiple washings. Stay tuned!

  1. That’s why I love your reviews, Christine! You don’t just receive something and then post up a “review” the next day, it’s completely unreliable!

  2. I bet this ends up being a really great line of brushes.

  3. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! *hops around all excited*

  4. I wish they relaunched the Ita Brush. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t, especially because of how popular they are! Makes me so sad.

  5. What an interesting array of makeup brushes – I don’t think it’s really meant for daily makeup use and more for pro’s right? I have to say that the face brushes jump out at me quite a bit!

  6. I like the shape of 43, 44 and 45. I really hope the quality is good!

  7. I love the look of 10 and 42. I can’t wait for your review!

  8. I’m on the fence with Nars these days, but I’m a makeup brush junkie and can’t resist the upcoming reviews. It will take a lot of convincing to move my beloved Hakuhodo brushes to the side!

which hakuhodos do you love? i’ve been thinking of placing an order, but can’t decideā€¦there are soooo many choices.

      • Hi Beka! I agree, lots to choose from. For eyeshadow brushes in the J series I love J004G for applying color and crease/blending brushes J5523, J142 and J146. For the face I use J210 as a blush brush. I could go on and on (lol). For more guidance, I recommend reading blogs by Sweet Makeup Temptations, Shameless Fripperies, The Non Blonde, Glossed In Translation for detailed reviews. Hope this was helpful. Good luck!

  9. The red bottoms make me think Louboutin.

Hey Hun! I thought I saw on another post of yours that the Ita brush was in this collection. Is it not going to be? I NEED that!!!

  11. Really interested in 43, 44 and 45. Curious to see your thoughts on them.

  12. I really like the look of the angled #43 shadow brush and also the angled cheek/face brush (#20?) as well as a few others. I wonder if they’ll be available in my area.

  13. I like the handle of these brushes, but I’m not really how the bristles and stuff look. I don’t know. I’m very picky about these things for some reason.

i only have one NARS brush-the huge one that came out with the powder last year. i find it really scratchy and it sheds and bleeds. it definitely wasn’t worth $75. i hope these are better quality.

  16. Is it my imagination, or was there a sort of big, flat rectangular brush in the original (red background) promo image? I haven’t seen it pop up in any reviews, though…
