I love the container that it comes in, and I like how you’ve been blogging about all natural stuff lately! Sadly I don’t wear eyeshadow too much and never wear blush so I won’t be buying this.

I don’t understand the purpose of organic makeup? I mean I understand that is might be safer for sensitive skin, but what am I paying for? the $45 for seems like it’s for the container more than the makeup itself. Though I do like smashbox.

It’s not just for people with sensitive skin, most makeup contains chemicals that are harmful to your body in the long-run so it is safer for everyone to use organic makeup and the new “trend” is environmentally friendly stuff (I have always been interested in organic stuff but people are just being interested because its ‘cool’). Also, with each purchase they will plant a tree, that and the fact that this is smashbox probably has something to do with the $45 price tag.

    • I don’t buy into a lot of organic/natural claims, and I pretty much buy what I like. I do look for products that donate/give back or have better packaging. Just in terms of actual ingredients, I find you have to do a lot more research than I’d like to verify (and therefore justify) the organic/natural properties of it.

  3. I love smashbox, but $45?!
    Wtf.

what is so friendly by chopping tree just to make a make up box?

LOL good point. (made from sustainable materials? what’s is that EXACTLY?)

It’s not made out of wood. It is made out of bamboo a highly sustainable plant, great alternative to using trees.
