I love the dress, it’s so reminiscent of Old Hollywood in my opinion. I like the minimal make-up and the pin in her hair.

Not a huge fan of the sleeves on the dress. I think it would’ve looked beautiful strapless. I also think her hair looks a bit unfinished. Her jewelry and makeup are gorgeous though — love the lips!
The dress is beautiful, and I don’t know if it’s the makeup but she looks ill here. Could just be a combination of the makeup/lighting.

I agree with you all about Scarlet looking like she hasn’t slept, been crying a bit, or she’s been ill. Although I love her dress and the hair’s OK too. But even with J-Lo, whose figure looked nice in her white dress but her face too had what I thought was nice, not-too-far makeup but J-Lo’s face up close looked a little ‘beat up’ as if she had been very tired or ill recently too.
I’m really not trying to sound like a jerk here. They both looked exhausted and unrested from something, whatever it is.
I think it could come from the bronzer/blush, it looks a tad muddy; they
better had chosen cooler/bolder hues. The colours do work in the close-up but not from afar.

Her hair is absolutely amazing but that dress is way too bulky for a curvy girl. (Curvy as in vuluptuous chest and bottom – NOT as in fat!!!)
i do not like this hair color with her skin. she looks so washed out. i am THRILLED that celebrities are embracing their natural pale skin, but some attention to a flattering hair color should come along with it. she should either brighten, or deepen, her hair color. JMO!

I prefer her bombshell blond, to be honest.
Her eyemakeup makes her look a bit bruised and upset and I find the tattoo really distracting but the frock and her bracelets are gorgeous!

Scarlett is always gorgeous but the stylist failed on the hair, it needed more height for drama. Dress is lovely, makeup made her look older than she is. I know it’s debateable but I’d have covered the tattoo for this look, it’s a distraction. Everything that didn’t work would have been stunning if she’d had the same dress in black though.

Her lips look great, as usual, but everything else is kind of blah. Some of these pictures look like they’re just bad pictures, though. Like the photographer snapped them in the middle of a blink. This one and the ones of Mila Kunis are kind of whacked like that.

I looooove Scarlett Johansson and I really think she looks amazing here. The hair is quite interesting too.
Undoubtedly my favourite from the night. I thought that the gown was stunning and her stylists went easy on the makeup, so that she has some colour, but it doesn’t compete with the embellished dress.
I do like this dress but not on her so much, I’m thinking a taller actress would look better in it, old style like Katherine Hepburn. She looks so sad in these photos.
I loved Scarlett’s look, except I can’t quite figure out what to make of her hair (it looks like…a wave?). The dress is bold but still ethereal and romantic. I love when celebs do such soft make-up, too; the almost-bare eyes and pillowy pink lips are a gorgeous combo. I do agree with some of the other commenters that I would have chosen a pinker blush to complement the look, but otherwise the make-up gets an A from me.

She is stunning. Hair and makeup are perfection for the nude dress. The dress is lovely but I really don’t like the neckline for her.It makes her bustline appear matronly. She isn’t small busted and this neckline is to die for on ladies with a less full bustline. I would have liked to have seen her have a really great undergarment that supported her well and showed off her assets in a more flattering way. To be honest when I said matronly she looks like she hangs a bit. Not a good look for a young vibrant woman.
I do agree on the better undergarment. Lift would have been more flattering. Like the Bali deep plunge type thing. I’m guessing it was hard to find something that didn’t show with the neckline and the low back.
Still would have preferred this if the dress was identical but in black and her hair had more pouf/height to it. Dress says innocent but expression says glam. She looks good in either.
Seems like a LOT of MUA/hair stylists were slacking this evening. Christine you should have offered to help them out!

i’m actually quite disappointed with the make up here – she usually looks iridescent. here she just looks washed out and dull!
I never realized how very fair her skin is.
she doesnt look her best she looks tired from the circles under hereyes and although i like the dress it didnt suit her body type she is vuluptuous and has ampble eh hem and it was squishing them down as you can tell by the weird clevage line going on. i like the makeup except the fact that it wasnt good enough to make her look not tired. love scarlett though iconic beauty
