Oh God, those close-ups aren’t forgiving anything, are they?
I know, a lot of the close-ups tonight are not so flattering! Plus this look is ugly from hair to toe. She has worn much better stuff in Sex & the City.

Isn’t it way too much bronzer? She looks too dark, put her next to anyone else at the Oscras and she looks like she’s beeen frying in the sun for days. Maybe it’s not the hair or the dress, maybe it’s the bronzed skin that makes her look so ald here.
Can’t put my finger on it………..but that dress is not doing it for me! I don’t care for her hair either…….to aging to her face. Maybe less harsh make up maybe and a more flattering dress color?
I know! Maybe if she had the right makeup for her, and a different hairstyle it would be better. I think she looks a lot older than she really is. A lot of the celebrities t the Oscars are look pretty bad, close up..

LOVE this dress! the hair is a bit over the top, but for some reason, i really love it on SJP! the closeups are not forgiving, but that’s life, age and parenthood, ultimately!

My mother always says a person who is too skinny will always look older in their face. This is apparent with SJP.I’ve always thought she needed to eat more…anyway…this is a miss
I love her but hate the dress. The closeup looks TERRIBLE!
She looks old… Her face has many lines and the eye makeup looks to harsh… This is NOT a good look for her. She looks like she has aged 15 years since Sex and the City!!
Sadly, Sex and the City is becoming an older show – sometimes I think it wasn’t that long ago, but actually, it was.
I don’t think the harsh liner looks good on her, don’t really like the dress or the hair, but I think she doesn’t look that old. She looks realistic, unlike other 40-50 year olds with the skin of 20 year olds.
I would really love to stop seeing comments about so many of the actresses that say things about how they look like they are aging.
YES, as time passes we get older and we look older, it is inevitable. Of course we’re gonna start seeing lines and wrinkles and gray hairs. It’s natural and it’s going to happen to every single one of us. And lemme just say it really bugs me when we get on here and talk crap about someone looking older and then talk crap about them having plastic surgery…for God’ sake people!!!!
Ultimately, these women ARE aging…and they are doing it beautifully and with class.

It had to be said! It’s funny to read all the comments about how the lines and wrinkles on their faces. Believe it or not – they’re human. They have flaws, they have fine lines and wrinkles just like everyone else in the world!
When they try to fix it and get plastic surgery, we criticize them for looking too plastic. Let’s try to make up our minds here.
I love her hairstyle and I think it goes nicely with her dress. I liked the dress for the fact it was different from all the others.
Does Sarah Jessica Parker care if everyone hates the dress? Nope, because she’s wearing Chanel haute couture and we are not. I loved the back! It’s modern and unexpected.
Yikes on the close up! You can see the wrinkles and idk if its just me but maybe some gray hairs? :/ Im not too crazy about the front of the dress. I do like how it looks on the back.
This has to be my least favourite look so far. Sarah is just way, way, way too skinny. After 40, being that skinny is really not doing you any favours. She would look much better if she gains 10 pounds.
Um.. small eyes rounded completely with heavy black liner is not going to help anyone in the aging dept!
What’s with those huge wrinkles on her face? OMG doesn’t suppose that celebrities who have so much money should look better? My mother that has 53 years old doesn’t have those wrinkles. I’m really shocked

The hair is terrible, the hairpieces don’t match her (gray-ing!) real hair, the dress looks like she’s wrapped in a silk sheet . THe make-up makes her look… well, dead.

Her dress looks like a “sarung” that we use at home.
Her ring looks like she is holding a cig. With all their money, can’t they dye their grey hair? The hair looks dry and brittle, quite messy on close up. Pulling up her hair makes her look older.

The harsh eyeliner makes her eyes look scary. Yet, she insists on wearing it. Not a good look on her.
The dress looks nicer at the back. The neck strap holds up her dress. It is a low cut exposing her back. The front seam down in the middle spoils the dress…should have left it on the side but I am no designer.
I actually love the dress and the accessories! However I do think that she’s a bit over bronzed. The heavy eye seems to be one of her signature looks and it does bring out the icy blueness of her eyes. Also who cares if she has wrinkes, at least she can have still make facial expressions!
SJP can’t do anything wrong for me. Love the vintage-y look of that column gown. She’s aging, so what? Everyone will go through that.
this dress totally washes her out, as well as her makeup. She needed Nars Orgasm blush to liven up her face.
Dress nooooo! Her make up is nice from but not close up makes her look very old. She needs more color.
Of course she will have wrinkles and look older because she is getting older. The only issue I have – if you’re making millions peddling hair color, you should color your hair. Practice what you push. (I do not color my hair. It is very gray but I am very lazy and no one has offered me a paycheck.)
Love her though the dress is shapeless, and she has a decent body. And her makeup is too severe for her face. No offense to older women but thick black eyeliner makes you look older!
putting all that makup on the eyes makes people focus on that AWFUL eye area, all wrinkled…., do instead a subdued eye and a bold lip !!
Wow, she really missed the boat on this look – where to start? Unflattering strap on collarbone – draws attention to her gauntness – large tin looking flower arrangement too overwhelming for her tiny body and the rest appeared to resemble a sack with a middle seam! The hair just looked unfinished with the dry gray looking strands sticking up all over the place(hairspray anyone?) However, I still think she is the classiest woman in show business – but not this time.

I don’t know. With me SJP is a unpredictable. Sometimes she looks really good and then other times she looks not so good. I don’t like the dress because it just looks like a sheet with a super hero cape. Hair looks neat and up close her makeup looks kinda harsh. But from far way, it looks pretty nice.

I thought the dress was a beautiful color, didn’t like it, but loved the color. And when she presented, I was quite distracted by all of the fly aways she had going on.

I couldn’t get past the hair to notice anything else. My mouth just dropped in a huge gasp. What was with all those hairs standing straight up? Did someone get paid to do her “do”? GASP!!!!!!

I love SJP! She is so real and down to earth! I love that she doesn’t have tons of collagen and botox injected into her face LOL. She has a nice body — she should be showing it off. I love her hair when she wears in long and wavy . . .maybe the next award show . . .

Miss Carie is not aging well at all. The hair is a mess. The dress looks similar to the satin skirts I wore in my junior high school choir. Someone actually got paid to style her?? WOW (flavor flav voice)
If these close-ups do anything, they make people realize just how perfect flash photography makes everyone look. You can see every pore and wrinkle in those close-ups.

That is one ugly dress! Incredibly some critics love it. There’s no accounting for taste. It’s by far the worst I have seen her in. You would think she’d look in the mirror.
I saw few great evening gowns this year. Some of the better ones were on non celebrities.
