Sandra Bullock @ 2010 Golden Globes

Golden Globe Awards: Sandra Bullock

Loving her makeup, but that dress is sooo not doing it for me.

Beauty Inspiration

“When I walked into Sandra’s room, I saw that she was in an incredibly relaxed, happy and free spirited mood.  I wanted her makeup to reflect her serene state of mind!” — Angela Levin, Makeup Artist

Beauty Breakdown

“I prepped Sandra’s skin with CHANEL Hydramax + Active Cream. Her eyes were a mixture of CHANEL shadows – Silky Eyeshadow Duo in Orient-Express, and Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Trace.  I then lined the eyes with CHANEL Long Lasting Eyeliner in Violine, a deep, soft purple shade.  On her cheeks, I used CHANEL Tweed Blush Duo in Tweed Rose.  Finally, on her lips she wore CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Beige Felin.  — Angela Levin, Makeup Artist

Hair How-to

For Frederic Fekkai, Adir Abergel’s inspiration for Sandra was a modernized 1930′s look with deep waves and interesting lines.

Adir Abergel started by parting the hair on an angle. He then blow-dried the hair adding FEKKAI COIFF™ Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Crème to create a smooth, frizz-free texture. Then with a 1” curling iron he curled the hair away from the face. Next, he created a foundation for the do by backcombing the bottom layers of the hair and tucking the hair under with pins. After, he applied a pinch of FEKKAI COIFF™ NONCHALANT PIECING & FORMING WAX to separate the pieces of hair as well as adding shine. Abergel then tucked the hair under creating an asymmetrical bob- with a modern twist. To finish the look, Abergel pinned the first part of the hair tightly, let a few pieces hang and pinned the rest back very loosely. Finally, he secured the look by adding FEKKAI COIFF™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Fabulous hair, make-up and earrings. Stunning shade of purple but don’t like the bottom half of the dress. What is with the weird sporty rubber-bottom pumps?

  2. Diane

Love the makeup and that purple color!

  3. margot

OMG the dress :O it’s … indescribable … ugh !! not doing anything for her. Like the color though. I like the eyes, but not the lip color.

  4. Love the COLOR of the dress, but not the dress itself.

  5. Love the makeup and simply adore the color of the dress but it’s really not doing anything for her boobs!

  6. AnGeLwInGz

Love the makeup and hair. The bottom half of her dress looks like a tablecloth! (and what’s with the moon shoes?)

  7. Marcia

    She looks very nice!~

  8. Aww her hubby Jesse James is holding the umbrella for her. Such a gentleman. Like the color of her dress but the bottom half is just not good.

  9. Jazz

Hate her shoes , love the rest of the look

  10. Melissa (divinem)

Why’d she have to ruin her beautiful face w/that dress?? Yuk!

  11. Liz

    Hair, makeup, earrings – A++

  12. Steph B

I really like the filminess of the dress. Given her hair covers one of her ears, might have opted for a smaller earring and added a necklace. I think her makeup is stunning. A lot of these write-ups feature Chanel products. Coincidence or does Chanel just have better PR people?

  13. Leenie

I like Sandra Bullock, so I can over look that dress, love her hair and makeup

  14. Wailani

her hair and makeup are gorgeous, and i love that purple dress it’s such a nice shade and the little bit of sheerness is perfect (: i love her in all her movies!

  15. Amy

Ahhhh Rouge Coco. I can’t wait!

  16. Lorna

this dress might have worked if it were not sheer on the bottom

beautiful color. cheapy design. makeup is lovely with the exception of the eyes. i’d love to see sandra with less eye makeup. she’s such a simple beauty. no need to crowd out her lovely big brown eyes with all that dark gunk. romantic cascading hairstyle is a go, but it could’ve definitely been better with a little more volume. must’ve been the rain.

  18. Oh Sandra, no. Please, no – I should not have shown you where the packaging paper and cellophane is. I could not know you would use it as a dress.
But nice to see you took your gym shoes underneath.

  19. Alena

I love Sandra Bullock! She is such a beautiful woman! And I love the colour of her dress!

  20. Sandra

I absolutely LOVED Sandra Bullock’s dress. Are you kidding????? The chiffon flowed beautifully when she walked. I think it’s one of the best on the red carpet. The other dress that stood out that I thought was exquisite, was Kate Hudson’s dress.

  21. Zoe

i like her dress the most.
weird how its kinda see through at the bottom…..

  22. Sometimes I am just shocked at the bull shit that the makeup artists spout……Dude, doing someones makeup is NOT like poetry. The only time that makeup is really that serious, is during Halloween and performance and such…..

  23. Emma

I think her makeup and hair look lovely. I don’t love the bottom of the dress & the shoes.

  24. Julie

This was my favorite dress of the night. Sandra KILLED it! The thigh-high slit without being too risque was just gorgeous. Her hair and makeup were flawless. I could do without the triple-platform heels, but other than that she looked perfect.

  25. blog4shoes

    Love to see shoe details…designer.

  26. Sandra Bullock always looks great,no matter what color she’s wearing. She always seems to know which colors look good on her and which ones don’t.
