I just took a look at some of the other looks and II changed my mind. This is one of the few looks I actally like. Many of them have very little worth copying in my opinion.

Interesting. I like hearing about the different products and techniques professionals use to create different looks. I like runway looks the best, but celebrity looks are so much more wearable.

That set is killing me, because I already have those minis (and some in full size), so I’m actually a little annoyed the new shades aren’t available alone (If they were, I totally missed them!) Definitely gearing up for holiday collections though!

I can see why lumping them would be a concern and wouldn’t work. It’s no worry a little celebrity coverage won’t stop me from checking in daily!

I look forward to more holiday set reviews. I know you’re a fan of the 24/7 liners so I’m curious to find out your thoughts on the value of the huge set of mini liners they just released.

Hi Kaleen,

I appreciate you letting me know your thoughts! Luckily, there are only a few award shows per year (I think it’s around 5-6 that we cover extensively), so it’s not something you will have get too frustrated with too often. It just happens this year (at least) that the VMAs and Emmys were back to back, so I can definitely understand your concerns.

We post by celebrity because it makes it easier for those who are interested to find/read about the look or celebrity they’re interested in most. It also would be a huge demand on the server and an individual’s internet connection if we lumped them all into one post. Additionally, it’s easier for those interested to comment/read comments when it’s by look/celebrity, otherwise we might get lost on what’s being said! “What’s up with her hair?” “Who’s hair?!” LOL!

I ask for your patience during the few times a year we have award coverage, thank you!

First off let me say, I love your website Christine. The reviews are so helpful and always spot on, your tutorials are always gorgeous and you update frequently (something that often disappoints in my other daily reads).

But, I personally am not very interested in all the award show coverage. I understand and appreciate the certain part you’re covering (the makeup and hair), but I feel like the site is bogged down by celebrities. Perhaps you could group many of them into one post so they wouldn’t dominate the entire page?

I find myself scrolling through trying to find your usual content
