Rescue Beauty Lounge Ani Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Ani Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.4 fl. oz.) is a semi-sheer champagne beige with white shimmer and almost metallic-like threads running through the color.  It’s officially described as, “shimmery, semi-transparent golden beige, as if you could dip your nails in nacre.”

my thoughts on the formula: Typically, Rescue Beauty Lounge’s lacquers are opaque, but this one is semi-sheer though deliberately so–you can’t fault something for being exactly what it claims.  It still applied smoothly and easily, while wearing a full week.

A

I don't have a lot of beige polishes in my stash, so I can't think of many dupes for it, though I recognize that it may not be the most unique shade of Rescue Beauty Lounge's range.

Product & Review FAQ

Where can I purchase Ani? How much is it?

It's hard to find at this time, $18.

Is it limited edition?

No.

Any dupes?

Maybe China Glaze II--it's a good deal sheerer and has more of a peach shimmer than white shimmer.

did you use a topcoat for this? if so, which one?

Much more sheer than I thought it would be. Did you put on two coats for the swatch (your nails are perfectly shaped, BTW) or more than that?

I used two coats, but it's supposed to be a sheerer polish :)

Christine! Why must you make me lust for all that is rescue beauty lounge's nail polishes? My pocket is gonna have a big hole in it. :/ I was even thinking of just using this brand and getting rid of my opi

I love the colour INSIDE the bottle but how it looks on nails... maybe that's because i'm pale skin and i don tlike it for me hehe BTW You have a very well done manicure... I like you nails and hands. Specially when you're showing the products of Make Up Forever's kit. You should be a catalog hands model =P

Pretty color, but I wish it was more opaque.

I just tried a new shade by Revlon called Grey Suede(there is NO grey in it!!)

Sorry...my computer submitted before I was done. Grey Suede is very similar to this shade only it's opaque so you may want to try it.

how cute! it's such a pretty color~

I love the official description, your nails do look like pearls! How lovely!

Omg i hope this was named after Ani DiFranco! Gorgeous!

Not digging the color, thank goodness for my wallet.

Pretty colour but sheers look awful on me - mostly because I'm incapable of getting a streak-free application and also because my nails tend to be a bit stained (food prep issues and eating fresh pomegranates!)and so sheers tend to look uneven.

Never see these "nude-ish" shades done really well but I REALLY like this. It's very sexy!
