    I really like sheer lipsticks as I have just started to ease myself into using them.. And it’s nice to have the option of having a toned down version of a colour!

    I only do nude lips, so I thought I would be all about sheer colours, but recently with NN (buoy-o-buoy), not so much. Buoy-o-buoy is THE perfect, HG, nude for me.. but because it’s so sheer, I have to layer it on enough to get the right color payoff. The result? The gathering of lipstick in the corners/crevices of the mouth from too much lipstick, oh, and of course, being almost halfway done with the tube when I’ve only had it for less than two weeks!

    Love it! I am pale with highly pigmented lips and for me, if I want a darker colour, sheer is the way to go.

    I love sheer formulas best too. I think a heavily made-up mouth (or anything for that matter) tends to age a woman.

    I, too, have heavily pigmented lips, so darker colors in sheer finishes are great– but I hate too-sheer formulas in lighter colors, because they just don’t show up! Very annoying! I love MAC’s satin finish.

    I like more neutral looks personaly, so I like shear. Plus I have really unpigmented lips so it still has decent payoff for me haha!

    My personal favorite. I love lipglosses so when I feel like wearing lipstick, I go for sheers. I look a lot older and too OTT wearing heavy lipstick.

    love them …i love MACs Glaze Lipsticks theyre not so drying and look great with clear lipglass on top and i like that the color is buildable

    I wear sheer lipstick sometimes, but I usually prefer the un-sheer variety. For me, I like sheer lipsticks if the color is really bright because it makes it wore wearable and a lot less clownish. Example – Rozz Revival…if it wasn’t a Lustre, I don’t think I would wear it as often.

    I’m in between on this one because I’ve never found one that stays on good. But I have to agree with Cristina on the thing about the colors looking less clownish.

    I love sheer lipsticks because I’m always licking and biting my lips (bad habit, I know, but at least I don’t bite my nails?) and it doesn’t look as bad when you’ve eaten the lipstick right off your face.

    I love them and use lustre lipsticks more along the lines of a tinted lip conditioner, which to be honest is really what they’re most similar too! I’ve never tried the glazes but don’t really intend to because Lustres are the perfect sheer lipstick for me, I wouldn’t want them any sheerer!

    Sheer lipsticks are fun when I want to play up my eye makeup or, alternatively, go for a more toned down look.

    i love sheer lipsticks ’cause i don’t wear a lot of makeup on an every day basis. usually they’re also softer and more moisturized.
