I hate it when dust particles get onto the lip colours. I think lip palettes can be really messy if you don’t watch out.

I usually don’t like them … I love the application way of lipsticks and lipstick palettes never felt same.
Also they are sticky

I actually like applying glosses and lipsticks with a brush… but my problem with palettes in general is that you usually have to like ALL of the colours to get the good deal on it… and I rarely do. Or maybe have a colour thats already similar?

I don’t like them at all. I don’t like how you have to apply them with a separate brush..but once you put the little brush into a darker color, then want to switch to a lighter color, then the darker color mixes into the lighter color, eck it’s gross. I know I never use them, so I just never buy them.

I hate lip palettes, they get dirty and out of 3 colors there is at least one color I donīt like. There has never been a lip palette, I just thought about getting. And if they have a great packaging, there usually is an according eyeshadow palette.

Never like the colours or most of them don’t suit me, consistency/application is messy!

I prefere lipsticks, not paletts, because i hate applying lipstick with a brush, it is too complicated for me.

I love Three Custom Color lip palettes, but theirs are the first ones I have liked–the warm palette of gloss is great.
Normally I don’t like palettes at all, Three Custom was a fun discovery.

i hate lip palettes for the reason of when you use it for the 1st time it will never look pretty again!
i have no issue with eyeshadow palettes as when you use them they keep in good shape for a good long time!!!!!
i think many brands should follow suit with dior (holiday collection) when it comes to face palettes as they put the gloss in a downsized tube – i love that! it looks so cute!

Ditto on what most said – messy, never love all the color and its just a pain to be required to apply lip products with a brush. I don’t mind using a brush but if I am in a place where I can’t do it…then I shouldnt have too.
I don’t own any lip palettes nor do I plan to ever buy one.

I don’t buy them – they are a great idea, but I find it too fussy to apply lip colour with a brush, especially when you are on the go. I stopped purchasing them years ago.

I start to wonder why so many brand release lip palettes??? Is there anybody who likes them?

So there is one lip palette I like – the one I made.
I go to Walgreens and buy the weekly pill holder thing. It has large wells (each well has it’s OWN cap so they can be open independently) and melted my MAC lipsticks in it. I’ll have to send you a picture!

I don’t like palettes because you can’t just whip them out to apply. I love the look of them, but they aren’t practical. Using the brush is annoying but I don’t like using my fingers. Also, the colors are not all what I want.
I think they would be better if we could pick and choose the colors

To add another point, I don’t think that you get what you’re paying for. There’s not a lot of product per pan. I haven’t done the math, but gram for gram, it seems like a bit of a rip off.

I hate it when eyeshadow dust (we’ll call it that, ‘kay?) gets in my lipstuffs. 3: I bought a Bobbi Brown palette that had both eyeshadows and a pretty lipstick… never again, man. Never again.

I dislike them. To avoid finger contamination one must use a lip brush…and I always loose mine.

Not sure. I haven’t tried it before but judging from the amount of mess you girls get, I doubt I would. But I supposed it would be fun for people who love to mix their lipcolors. I hardly use lipstick anyway! :D

I find them messy and once the colors are used the look of them grosses me out. I won’t even buy them any more. The last one I bought was the Viv Glam palette from a few years back and I have never used or tested it.

I am 50/50 on them , they can get dirty quick and seem to annoy me immensely with application but they are good because of the variety of colours you can get for the price of one lippy ..

lol guess I’m alone here – I really like them – I like applying lipstick/stains with a brush and I find them really handy for travelling. If I had the choice between normal lipstick and a palette I’d pick lipstick but I do like palettes.

I can never get a decent amount of product out of the palette and onto the brush. Also, they seem to dry out easily.

HATE HATE HATE. I absolutely NEVER like all of the included color (i’m pretty picky about lip color), and they seem to always smear together and get all messy, even though i’m very careful with my brush. I am not at all a lip palette fan!

The intensity of the colors is very disappointing. You have to swipe the palette several times to get the true color on your lips.
As others have said, the colors get messy and the packaging gets dirty very easily.
To make lip palettes works, the manufacturers should stick with just 2-3 of their best selling shades, increase the amount of pigment than usual, and space the trays much farther apart. Or just go back to the mini-lipstick sample tubes they used to sell back in the day.
