Quick Eyes with Urban Decay Midnight 15 & Flow

Yet another quick look with Urban Decay’s 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette — this is the look I wore when I swatched through the Super Saturated Lip Colors. I’m not 100% positive what I used on the lower lash line, but I’m pretty sure I just grabbed for Underground (because it happened to be out).  I needed a look that was super neutral, because the lip colors I was swatching were all rather bold and bright, so I didn’t want the eyeshadow to compete.

I’ve been trying to go through all of the bajillion of folders I have and either using or deleting the photos in them!  I had photos of products I never got around to testing from January, and I just had to force myself to hit the delete key.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof all over the lid and above the crease with the 249 to lay down your eyeshadow base.  Apply Midnight 15 all over the lid with the 239.  Next, apply Flow into the crease and diffuse it above using the 222. Then apply Trench on brow bone to highlight with the 272. Next, apply Underground eyeliner on the lower lash line and smudge with Flow. Coat lashes with They’re Real mascara to finish the look.

Pretty look! Love the colors. Can you do a review of the Benefit Mascara They’re Real?

Shadow is great, but I don’t love that mascara. It seems very clumpy. How many days into testing are you with that product?

  3. It’s been a great year for beauty, hasn’t it? I don’t blame you for a little twinge when you’re stuck deleting some of your hard photog work, but at least know we really appreciate it!

    • I’m just over-ambitious! A lot of it ends up being lip products/blushes that I need/want to do lip or face swatches for but then don’t manage to do so.

Very natural. i like it. VERY disappointed in that lip color. Had you just put that on? It’s so spotty.

  5. I just loved how simple yet glamorous this look is1 :)

I love your eye make up and the color of the lipstick is just perfect but honestly I don’t like the texture of the lipstick.

I love the look. I’ll be looking out for the UD palette in the Canadian Sephoras!

Ada, I got mine yesterday (received the call on the holiday Monday) so they may have it near you some time this week. Call and ask and see if they’ll put you on their “call list” (the one near me is good that way). I’m LOVING this palette….such a great mix of colours and the neutrals are out of this world!

What a pretty, simple look. That’s the kind of everyday eye look you could wear to work or out during the day. It probably also makes your eyes look brighter and more awake. I like it!

Ever so pretty! I just got this palette so am trying out the looks you post (I’m a day behind you! I’ll wear this look tomorrow!)

  11. Love this look. Its a great way to wear neutrals with a bold lip, which I sometimes struggle with. Great!

  12. Wow, your eyes are stunning! :)

this is a very good way to wear bold lip colors, that always stumped me how to do that. thank you!

bold lips with a neutral eye is a good look for you. i would veto that mascara, though. it’s making your lashes stick together which is a deal breaker. toss!

  15. I love how simple yet stunning this look is. PS your irises are totally cool!! I love the pattern they have!

This looks like an easy every day look- glad to see some ideas for the new UD palette:) I just got mine from Sephora (ordered online last week). Do you know of any MAC lipsticks that are similar color to the UD one you are wearing in this pic? I love that color on your, but the texture doesn’t look as creamy or smooth as some of MAC’s.

  17. PRETTY! I especially love Underground in the lower lash line ;)

I love this look, so fresh, simple and beautiful. It is a shame how splotchy that lip color pencil is, the color itself looks great on you!

  19. So simple & pretty!

  20. I really like this look. Very classy and glamorous in the same time.
On the one hand, “The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural.”~ Calvin.Klein. And on the other hand, love the colour of lipstick that is chosen for this make up. Spot on !
And, must say, beautiful face for experimenting with make up and shades.
