Project Revamp: YSL Touche Eclat

If you could revamp YSL Touche Eclat, what would you change? What would you keep the same? How would you make it an even better product?

omg!! i would revamp everything!–no i really want to love this product but i just dont think it does anything!
maybe its me,, maybe im using it wrong but i just cant see whats so great about it?
for the price i guess i expected miracles!
not sure HOW to improve it!–it dosent seem to have ANY effect for me anyway!
I agree with Fran. I object to the price/quality ratio. It sucks..The first one I bought was like $ 19, now it is just silly. And now it doesn’t work on me unless I have a major corrector/concealer underneath it. And then I have to finish it off with a mineral powder so it doesn’t shine too much..argh… a bit of sheen is great, but on me this does nothing. When I use up the last tube, it’s a done deal.I will buy puts for GM:D
Fran seems unknowingly lucky, since Touche Eclat only works on people with dark lines or circles under the eye area. So I think it works wonders, I love the product, the clickie function, but unfortunately I get allergic reaction after long time use.
So does my girlfriend.
I stopped using it now. But there is nothing out there to replace it, that is quite as good.
So my revamp would be in the “ingeneering-department” taking a closer look at the ingredients.
Or…. MAC could come up with a copy-cat LOL
Hey Julie,
Have you tried Boots #7 Radiant Concealer? I use it in shade II and get it at Target. It had the clicky feature, is MUCH cheaper than YSL, and I think it works well. I have tried both, and I don’t think the difference in quality is worth the difference in price.
Just thought I’d recommend something new (unless of course, you’ve already tried it).
Hi Theresa
That is very kind of you, I was not aware of that product since I live in Denmark. (used to live in California, so I know Target and all the other drugstores as well and have a girlfriend who can send to me)
I will check it out, thank you for your thoughtfullness.
BR, Jules
Hmm. I would add a fifth color between three and four, and a better way to clean the brush, or a detachable brush that can be cleaned more thoroughly. finally, there really isn’t any need for it’s price point. I like mine, but $40 is a lot to shell out for such a little product.
I love it, it’s the best concealer. Would love it to be cheaper, but I have always found good deals on it on Ebay.
I would put it in a tube so people stop confusing it. It was originally designed as a HIGHLIGHTER/luminator not a concealer!!!
I would package it like Too Faced shadow insurance but bigger beause the brush i pointles.. I put it on and end up dabbing it in with my figers anyway.. may aswell as just lose the brush!!
I use it to conceal my dark circles, therefore it’s a concealer!
More color ranges!I have to work it in and blend it with colors that match my tone.
It does what it intends and that is to brighten up dull areas.
I like watching it on the videos on the YSL website, but I don’t know which color to buy. I’m a NW45. Any suggestions?
I’m a NW45, but that’s the thing the only color they have Luminous Coffee, there’s only 4 shades.
Would make it cheaper so I’d actually try it LOL. I’m fine with my Diorskin flash at the momen
initially i was going to say nothing (i bought it a week ago & i actually look forward to using it everyday, i’m in love), but then realizing it’s $40 – definitely the price! i’d bring it down at least 10 or 15 bucks, it’s DEFINITELY work 20, but 40? it is amazing…
Well, A MA in Germany made me realize that the new formula of YSL TE isn’t as good as the old one. It’s less blendable than the original one. I would really want it to brighten my under eye area a bit more with a bit of better converge. I would also like a beta version of it with a little shimmer.
It’s too dry for me, it made my eyes look old. It sat in the fine lines!
