I bought this color when these lipsticks first came out and man was I not disappointed! I’ve never bought a color like Venom before but it was the beginning of Fall and I was determined to jump on purple/plum lipstick train. I usually wear this with the matching lip pencil so I don’t know if the results would be different without it. My one and only complaint is the shape of the lipstick. The round shape makes it a little hard to stay inside the lines but the color payoff and long lasting wear time make this lipstick worth it! I wore this lipstick almost every day during the Fall and Winter but I still have a ton left, you are definitely getting your money’s worth.
I bought “Jilted” today (08/16/13) at the Ulta at Deptford, NJ, after experimenting with many colors on my hand. I am very pale, with coppery colored hair and blue eyes, so I need to be mindful of works for me. I wanted a punchy color, but not too much. I put it on at 3PM, and by 8PM, it was still there, without bleeding, fading or transferring to my teeth. I am so happy that I went with “Jilted”. I love it!!! I wonder which will be my next color to buy….
THIS. LIPSTICK. IS. AMAZING.
I’m only just getting into high-end makeup and had basically thought that paying 15 bucks for a MAC lipstick was expensive enough. However, Urban Decay hasn’t let me down yet so I figured I’d try out these new lipsticks. I got this color and F-Bomb (which might be my new HG red lipstick because holy WOW, it’s such an awesome rock star red color) and they are so worth the cost!
I wanted a color somewhat like MAC’s Candy Yum-Yum but not in a matte finish and Anarchy looked close. It’s definitely a super vivid bright blue-pink. The lipstick is so pigmented in only one sweep–and that one sweep soaks every inch of your lips in color. I’ve always had trouble with getting color in the fine lines of my lips but this lipstick has no problem with that. Because of this, the lipstick does actually succeed at its claim that it makes your lips look fuller. There’s no scent or taste as far as I can tell. The color also lasts for a really long time without killing my lips.
I will say that though I love the packaging and size (it looks classy and feels appropriately heavy), I’m not a huge fan of the shape. I’ve got a very defined Cupid’s Bow and the round shape makes it hard to color in that area without also coloring in the little divot between the Bow. I suppose that that would be easy enough to fix with a lip brush.
End of the story is that this lipstick is AWESOME.
Tired of high-tech lipsticks that suck all the moisture out of your lips? Us too! So we created an addictively luxe formula with insane color payoff. Urban Decay launches Revolution Lipstick, a classic, creamy formula you’ll love wearing—with the signature Urban Decay pigment-rich color you rave. This is rich, buttery lipstick at its best—intense pigment plus creamy shine. You’ll love EVERYTHING about it, from the act of applying it to the way it feels on your lips. Revolution Lipstick applies smoothly (without dragging or skipping) and hugs your lips. And the pigment load is amazing! Just one swipe gives you a BIG laydown of color.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick ($22.00) is back with a new and improved formula (as well as packaging). Urban Decay’s bringing back lipstick, and they’re doing in in a major, major way with twenty-two shades from bold, bright, and wickedly vibrant to soft, subdued, and natural. The formula is creamy, lightweight, and glides on with nearly full color coverage in a single pass. They wear anywhere from four to seven hours, with some leaving behind a stain for another one to two hours. The lighter shades tended to wear around four hours, while deeper and bolder shades lasted an average of six hours. The creamy consistency is comfortable to wear but doesn’t bleed or feather, while the formula itself is moisturizing. I didn’t detect any scent or flavor! This post focuses on the red and orange shades within the range.
