I use Perversion – my new favorite eyeliner for tightlining. I like the fact it has vitamin E oil and jojoba oil in it so i know I’m not damaging the roots of my lashes since I wear makeup 5 days a week for week minimum. Also it lasts all day long which is awesome! I don’t have to use much to make my eyes pop.
I had big hopes for this because of all the rave reviews, but it ended smudging like all the other so-called waterproof long lasting eye liners. Shortly after applying I was starting to get it under my eyes. Daily I had to constantly wipe under my eyes to remove it, it gave me raccoon eyes. The only long lasting waterproof eyeliner is the Make up Forever Aqua eyes. That stuff seriously doesn’t move!
This eyeliner is my go to! Although it’s my first from UD, I’ll be getting more. The color and texture is so wonderful. It’s a great alternative to black or brown because it helps wake up my hazel eyes. It blends very well and stays in place throughout the day.
The color is perfect for a neutral/light eye or using it heavily for a darker look. It doesn’t overpower my very pale skin if I’m just wearing eyeliner and mascara (too dark of black looks unnatural on me). I can imagine it would look gorgeous on someone very tan as well!
I own so many 24/7 pencils, and I often wonder WHY I keep buying them when I don’t care much for any of them, to be quite honest. I strongly prefer MAC’s Chromographic Pencil in Black Black over Perversion. I detest the way the glittery, shimmery pencils refuse to leave any color on my water line. I find myself screaming in a histrionic rage at these stupid metal caps that fall off constantly, either ruining my pencils, or just annoying me by forcing me to retrieve lost caps off the floor after they roll under my bed because I was silly enough to place the cap on the back-end of the pencil AGAIN, just as I do with all my pencils. I have asked myself a thousand times, WHY OH WHY ARE THESE THINGS SO POPULAR?!? because of all of my frustration and disappointment, and for $20 a pencil, I ought to be squealing with excitement over them every single time.
And then it happened. CHAOS came into my life, and made all the 24/7 hype make sense. This has to be the most amazing eye pencil I have ever owned. Vibrant, beautiful, sexy. It glides on (as advertised) with great ease and comfort. It is easy to flip into a lovely and flawless sharp-tailed wing, which is no simple feat with the average pencil. I cannot say enough about how deeply I adore this pencil. Now, I am desperate to complete my 24/7 collection of MATTE shades specifically, as well as a few of the brighter shimmer shades that make me feel all warm and fuzzy just to look at online. I can only hope even one of the other pencils I’ll be buying is half as awesome as CHAOS is. LOVE LOVE LOVE…. LOVE.
I have several Urban Decay eye pencils and I generally love them. Flipside, for whatever reason, does not live up to the reputation of the rest of the line. I bought it for the color, but it’s so hard for me to get any color payoff from this one that it wasn’t at all worth it. It tugs and skips during application, so it takes a couple of passes to get an adequate line. Sadly, it’s a overall disappointment.
1999 is a lighter, slightly redder purple than Rockstar, plus an added glitter. It’s a great color and looks awesome for a little while, but even with primer and a shadow set this stuff migrates almost immediately on my eyes. If you don’t have oily eyelids like I do you’ll probably have better luck with this than me.
Stash is an amazing dark khaki green with a slight gold shimmer, it goes on so smoothly and blends well on application but once it’s dried it sticks! For me, green eyed and pale, it’s a great alternative to brown eyeliner which always tends to make me look like I’ve been crying.
I’m sorry but I have tried every eyeliner that is a so called dupe of this eyeliner and none of them have measured up to Perversion. It is THE best pencil eyeliner I have found for the water line. I have repeatedly bought this eyeliner.
Loe this eyliner pencil. Budget friendly, creamy & long-lasting. Am disappointed about the many discontinued colors. Urban Decay’s website still has many for sale. However, like the Temptalia review, I feel a hole exists in the violet with blue undertone range. Also, have been anxious to try binge to add a blue to my collection. Am older, and like a natural look, but like to play with color at times; mostly purples & greens. But purples w/too strong red undertones make my eye appear unaturally red. With eyes that change from green to blue, I find that purples & greens bring out my eye color in a nice way. Mildew & Ransom have worked well. I’ve also wanted to add Lust. It seems that most of my favorite colors will soon be gone.I know that MUFE has 11L, similar to Lust. I like MUFE,but not as creamy as the 24/7 colors.Does anyone have ideas that might let Urban Decay know their newly discontinued colors leave a hole in their line?
Lust is a mid-tone purple shade, from what I’ve seen it look pretty pigmented on other people but it hardly came through for me. Everytime I did put it on, it would fade after a few hours. Mine got dry and hard really fast. I’d stay away from this shade in particular, other UD eye liners seem better than this one.
I had just gotten my hair done (it was a pretty bright red shade) and I was at the mall wearing my date night dress for later that evening when a MUA at the UD counter stopped me asked to put some lipstick on me. I got suckered into buying the red lipstick, lipliner and eyeliner. I have so many great memories of using this eye liner, it’s a beautiful warm brown with gold sparkles, perfect for brown eyes without looking harsh. Lasts forever and has just the right amount of emphasis on the eyes without overwhelming other key features. My only con is that this can get pretty malleable, too soft and crumbles sometimes, makes sharpening hard.
Love, love, love this pencil. I bought this on a whim because I was getting tired of my basic black and brown liner, and I am so glad I did. It’s creamy enough that I can swipe it on an angled eyeliner brush and put it on, but once it sets it’s there for good!
LOVE this eyeliner! Such a unique shade- has a shimmery, iridescent finish! very smooth and creamy, which can almost be a downfall too, since it can be hard to do clean and tight lines. Great product for a fast makeup look- a swipe on and some mascara, and the eyes are good to go!
Definitely the creamiest eye pencil that I have ever owned. Had not thoughts of getting this in the first place but because I had to get the UD Grindhouse for my UD 24/7 Concealer, I decided to get this as well in order to justify the price for the sharpener.
First of all I feel that it is a little overpriced at $19 – and this is only if I get it in the USA. It retails for much much more here in Singapore.
The pencil is extremely creamy and does not tug at your lids AT ALL. Used this on my upper waterline and it lasted all day. Definitely a product I did not regret getting. Might just get it in more colours. I purchased it in the colour Sabbath which is a deep matte blue and it really appears as it is on the pencil.
