A Medium/Deep Plum/Mauve shade of the classic OCC LIP TAR. (This is the exact shade of my lips.) Creamy, blendable, forms a perfect film around lip lines, moisturizers with a cushion effect and lasts all day. Looks natural. Exfoliate lips and NSFW sure they're moisturized and smooth before carefully applying a tiny dot of this to lips and gently working with a brush to cover entirely. A beautiful flush of color just like ours but better!
Since I'm a matte lipstick lover I was really excited to try lip tar, so I ordered 5 of them off sephora ( nylon, trollop, harlot, vintage, black metal dahlia) and I love them !!!! I was hesitant about nylon and harlot since I thought they'd suit lighter complexions but I WAS DEFINITELY WRONG !!!
I rated 4.5 since vintage bled out I guess I have to use a primer with that one.
It's easy to see why OCC's lip tars get such rave reviews because they are a wonderful creation! Provided you use a lip brush (so important!) they apply perfectly - both smoothly, opaquely and evenly. They are great value because you get a lot of product and barely need to use any each time. Plus if you have more than one you can create further colours without spending any money. The colour range is fantastic! I think it's also wonderful that each one comes with a little lip brush so you don't have to worry about cleaning them between colours or accidentally mixing them. This particular shade is so pretty, and despite being purple it is (in my opinion) wearable. Another thing I love is the minty scent. It is just a nice bonus because I LOVE anything mint, and it also helps the mouth area smell fresh! I can honestly think of nothing negative to say.
Great colour! Amazing wear time. Just beware of staining on clothes, secure the cap tight, and make sure to not apply too much. I noticed that application of too much product caused bleeding. Apply one coat, let set, then if needed (which it usually isn't) apply your next coat. NOTE: I usually layer all my lip tars with the OCC Clear, which is a beautifully moisturizing base :)
