I literally love this color! It is so beautiful on medium skin tones. I love the cremesheen formula because it is so moisturizing and smooth. I actually bought mine yesterday and fell in love with it when I tried it on in the store. However it did melt a little in the car ride home and the lipstick is really hard to open. I think I got a defective one. But I would still recommend this Mac lipstick to everyone due to the sheer formula that blends into your natural lip color.
I have such a personal struggle to find light/nude lipstick shades that suit me, so I feel particularly strongly about this lipstick because it is the PERFECT nude shade for me. I notice the product is listed as limited edition, but I’ve seen it on the MAC website for at least the last 6 months, so I really recommend it to anyone who finds traditional/popular nude shades too ‘corpsey’ on themselves. In terms of application it is very smooth, comfortable and moisturising. It in no way draws attention to lip lines, and does not emphasise them either. I did not give it 5 stars simply because it doesn’t last for a particularly long time (especially when eating and drinking occur).
Shanghai Spice is a dirty rose with a hint of brown. It has semi-opaque color coverage. Revlon Pink Truffle is redder and several shades darker. NARS Montego Bay is similar, warmer. MAC Gem of Roses is a little pinker and darker. Bobbi Brown Heather Pink is darker and more opaque.
