Thunder True Color Eyeshadow ($30.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a medium-dark gray with subtle warm undertones and a satin finish. It was a little drier than I’ve experienced with other Le Metier de Beaute eyeshadows, so the color payoff when applied dry was surprisingly sheer. Applied with a damp brush, it was more intense but still a bit under-pigmented. It wore for eight and a half hours well, and it was slightly faded after nine hours of wear (no primer). Urban Decay Asphalt is darker. Urban Decay Desperation is very similar. MAC Steel is darker, warmer. Guerlain Les Gris #1 is cooler-toned, darker, less shimmery. bareMinerals Tempest is lighter. bareMinerals Chateau is similar. See comparison swatches.
