I have been hesitant to spend this kind of cash on nail polish, but this has won me over. I put it on Tuesday (with Zoya’s Anchor and Armor) and it is now Sunday and I have no chips and no tip wear to speak of either – it still looks freshly applied. Zoya polish usually has noticeable tip wear on me by this point, and other polishes rarely last past 3 days without chipping, so I’m seriously impressed, especially since it’s black.
It’s a pretty black with evenly distrubuted silver sparkles, and mine had a few random holographic sparkles in it too, it seemed. Love this!
It is a beautiful black shade, the silver sparkle looks wonderful under the light. It applies evenly and smoothly, without any streaks. You only need two coats for full coverage. It has a glossy finish and lasts a lot on me, about a week without chipping. I love the formula and the color so I totally recommend it if you are looking for a “special” nail varnish.
Illamasqua Creator Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “magical black.” It’s safe to say that’s a very apt description; it’s a gorgeous deep, dark black cream with large silver sparkles–that seem to be in an almost rectangular shape. NARS Night Breed is very nearly the same–I really can’t tell the difference. China Glaze Tinsel town has a lot more silver sparkle/glitter, so it looks more like a silver glitter with a black base than black with silver shimmer/sparkle.
