I love this shade! I have only applied it on one nail so far, am yet to apply it to all of my nails. This shade is a lovely deep coral/pink shade with this gorgeous purple/blue duochrome type effect to it. This effect is the reason i purchased it, i was going to choose another shade. But this uniqueness to the shade won me over. I can’t wait to fully try it. From my experience with Chanel lacquers (only have one other shade) they really last for ages without a top coat, can’t wait to try it with a top coat! A must have shade!
I really love this shade! It is a lovely peachy colour with metallic shimmer. The texture of the polish itself is very thin, which means it is really easy to build up! I applied this with three coats and no top coat. It lasted about 4 days before it started chipping. This was my first really expensive polish purchase and i am so impressed! I think i’ll be reluctant to go back to cheaper polishes! I gave it 4.5 just because of the price in Australia, it’s $39!
After the wonderful review this shade got, I’ve finally bought it to see for myself if this actually felt like a galaxy on the nails. And I mus say that the color really is beautiful and has wonderful red reflections over the deep purple but I’ve found out that the application was a bit difficult and it chips on me after three days. Still I really like it and with patience and with a good topcoat is still a very special color that I will kep on wearing.
Although is a lovely color for spring and summer, it is a bit hard to use since it is sheer and it takes three coats minimum to get full coverage. Usually I apply four to be completely happy with the result. The ending color looks between a soft orange and coral with subtle shimmer. It wears well, and lasts five days on me without chipping.
This is a classic shade by Chanel. It has a deep red color with a hint of brown, it’s a vit vampy so I prefer to use it in autumn and Winter. I usually paint three coats to get full coverage and it dries with a glossy finish. On me it lasts about five days without chiping and with minor tip wear. It’s a color I recommend to have in your stash.
I’m wearing Vertigo as I type! Now, it’s not a colour that will appeal to everyone: it is sort of nondescript. There’s a bit of dark grey, brown and mauve. Unfortunately, the reddish shimmers visible in the bottle do not show up on the nails, except under bright light. I suspect they might be what gives the colour this depth.
All in all, Vertigo applies well, and last a solid four days at least on me, without chipping, which is good to very good considering my nails.
But what really sways me is how elegant albeit unusual this colour is. I find it surprisingly easy to wear (though I can see why some may disagree!). It’s my absolute favourite colour for winter.
