The inspiration for the look was a modern take on classic hollywood; long lashes and luscious red lips. I created a smooth canvas on her skin with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Foundation and warmed her up with some bronzer and light pink powder blush. On her eyes I used the lighter color of COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire on the lid and set it with a powder eyeshadow. I finished the eyes by creating long lashes with COVERGIRL LashBlast Length. To create her luscious red lips I first applied COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Scarlet Pucker so the color would last all night and topped it with COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Hot for extra glamour.

Makeup is overall pretty. Hair is kind of too sleek and simple for me like an everyday pony tail. The dress does not do her any justice. It looks loose and it does not frames her body how it should be.
Agree! that ponytail I wear when I go to Walmart.

I love the idea of it… the close-up photograph just doesn’t seem forgiving. The full body shot is much better. And I think a glossy red lip might have looked better and younger.
I think the matte red lip makes her look very classy. All in all she has a very sleek, classic look going — except for the bow on the dress. That kind of throws off the effect, IMO. But I think she has a beautiful look overall. And she looks stunning when she smiles like that
There are quite a few black dresses on the carpet tonight aren’t there? They are kind of somber. I do like her lipstick though.

Her foundation looks so cakey! So sad, because the rest of her makeup is really pretty. It’s a shame when bad foundation takes away from a pretty smile.

Her foundation looks terribly applied in her closeup shot. It looks like she has a lot of blemishes on her skin. I think the mua did her a disservice. For sure I would never use Covergirl after seeing this effect!
I totally agree. I’m never buying Cover Girl (not that I did anyway). I’ve never seen Piper with less than gorgeous skin in the past. I’m kinda pissed at them. I don’t think it’s bad skin so much as not enough moisturizer and then a foundation that was totally wrong for her skintype. She should be doing something like Estee Lauder, Lancome, Lorac, even Revlon or Loreal. Halle Berry was the only spokesperson whose makeup was really beautiful. And I’d buy their foundation if I thought it would look anywhere near as good on me as her.
I love Piper Perabo to death and she’s both gorgeous and very talented, that said, this is just not a good look for her IMO. But I am definitely not a fan of Cover Girl, would much rather see her spokesperson for anything else.
I LOVE the lip color but I’m not a fan of what they did with her foundation.

She looks very pretty. She needed more of a “do” with that dress considering it has a train. Love the strong matte red lip on her. Egads that bow on her shoulder throws the whole look off. Cute clutch. On the close up they shouldn’t put so much powder on her breakout areas. Draws attention to them.
i think a loose updo would have looked better but besides that very pretty.love the lip.very nice teeth lol

I find it hard to believe that of Piper. However, I can see how catty comments might have made her drink too much. Esp when it was her first time.
So her mua actually used Cover Girl? Really really? I’m not knocking Cover Girl I’m just really surprised. Her foundation just seems heavy and cakey. The red lips make her look so severe especially in the wider shot showing how pale she is. I would have toned it down to make it a little more wearable or maybe used a little gloss. I’m not a fan of the hair either. It’s just a little lack-luster for me. Also the dress with the tie thing on the shoulder is just no. The cut of the neck and other strap just doesn’t sit right with me. I really enjoy Piper’s work and she’s so gorgeous but I’m not feeling this look.
i’m actually digging this slightly darker bright red lip. shame her skin isn’t flawless though, all the problems are showing through the foundation!
bad foundation can make even beautiful skin look poor, I’ve been her fan for decades and I’d like to smack that MUA (not literally…well…) for ruining her 1st GG. She’s so beautiful. I’d have loved to do her MU & style & I’m not even a MUA but still could have done better. She deserved to look amazing because she’s very beautiful. CG sucks. Maybe she can use the pics to get out of the contract.
OMG – I haven’t seen her since “Coyote Ugly”, wouldn’t even have recognized her! Is she still on TV in the U.S.?
