Natasha Denona Green-Brown Eyeshadow Palette

Natasha Denona Green-Brown Eyeshadow Palette ($239.00 for 2.24 oz.) includes 28 eyeshadows from matte to metallic. The Natasha Denona eyeshadow range will be debuting at Beautylish soon. I believe they will be carrying singles as well as the palettes (I’m still waiting on confirmation/clarity on that), but here’s a sneak peek of the warmer mega-palette. I will post swatches for the other two palettes today as well. Reviews to come!

ColourPop Silhouette, Stingraye, Teeny Tiny, Platform, Scrooge Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks

ColourPop Silhouette Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick

ColourPop Silhouette Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “rich blue red.” It’s a bright, medium red with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque coverage with a lightweight, easy-to-apply consistency. This was one of the more comfortable and easier-to-wear shades in the liquid lipstick formula. Kat Von D Tijuana (P, $21.00) is darker (95% similar). MAC Opera (LE, $17.00) is warmer (95% similar). MAC Ruby Woo (P, $17.00) is darker (95% similar). Colour Pop Jingle (LE, $5.00) is glossier (95% similar). Colour Pop Fighter (DC, $5.00) is brighter, cooler (95% similar). Anastasia American Doll (P, $20.00) is lighter, brighter (95% similar). Kat Von D Outlaw (P, $20.00) is lighter, warmer (95% similar). Make Up For Ever #43 (P, $19.00) is glossier (90% similar). Estee Lauder Decisive Poppy (P, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Kat Von D Underage Red (P, $20.00) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Just Add Romance (P, $20.00) is lighter, glossier (90% similar). MAC Charlotte (LE, $17.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Colour Pop Creeper (P, $6.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC RiRi Woo (LE, $17.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Kinky (LE, $17.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Feels So Grand (P, $20.00) is darker (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

ColourPop Stingraye Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “cool-toned mauve brown.” It’s a muted, medium-dark mauve with subtle, cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. There is a light sheen to it, and it has a more “plastic” like feel on the lips that is smooth but a little tacky and not fully matte. It applied well and wore for six hours with slight extra fading noticeable around the center of the mouth. It was lightly drying. Colour Pop Teeny Tiny (P, $6.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Colour Pop Tulle (P, $6.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Kat Von D Exorcism (P, $20.00) is darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

ColourPop Teeny Tiny Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “deep greyed out plum.” It’s a muted, medium-dark plummy brown with subtle, neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had totally opaque coverage and applied evenly. The texture dried down quickly but with enough time to get everything into place, but it looked a little “shrinkwrapped” applied. The color lasted for six hours but was somewhat drying. Colour Pop Stingraye (P, $6.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Colour Pop Tulle (P, $6.00) is warmer (85% similar). Kat Von D Exorcism (P, $20.00) is darker, brighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

ColourPop Platform Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “warm beige nude.” It’s a brightened, light-medium peach with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque coverage that applied evenly and smoothly, though the color “cracked” somewhat as soon as I smiled. The texture was mostly non-sticky (though it was transfer-resistant). On me, the color lasted for six hours with some uneven color breakdown over the last two hours. It was lightly drying. MAC Mademoiselle (P, $20.00) is darker (90% similar). Kat Von D Noble (P, $20.00) is cooler (90% similar). Milani Adore (LE, $8.99) is cooler (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Tom Ford Lilac Dream Eyeshadow Quad

Tom Ford Lilac Dream Eyeshadow Quad

Tom Ford Lilac Dream Eyeshadow Quad ($80.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a set of cooler-toned shades that range from pink to purple. Two of the four shades didn’t do so well, and the other two had minor issues (none were perfect, unfortunately). I think this quad in particular really is incapable of being used with decent results without a good primer (and adhesive base, if you want to use the glittery shade), whereas most of Tom Ford’s quads I think can be used without a primer (of course, a good primer will always improve your results!).

Lilac Dream #1 is a pale, light pink with cool, blue undertones and a frosted sheen. It had decent to good pigmentation with a soft, lightly powdery consistency that blended out well, but it emphasized the texture of the lid slightly. It wore well for eight hours. Tarina Tarantino Delightful #3 (P) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (95% similar). Dior Jardin #4 (P) is less shimmery (95% similar). Tarina Tarantino Diamond Dusk #2 (LE) is less shimmery, cooler (95% similar). Dior Rose Garden #3 (LE) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Harpooned Heart (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Dior Garden Pastels #3 (LE) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Makeup Geek Whimsical (P, $9.99) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Enchanted #1 (LE) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Pink Pearl (LE, $16.00) is cooler (90% similar). Make Up For Ever I872 Pearly Pink (P, $21.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). bareMinerals Muse (P) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Pink Frosting (LE, $16.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Feminine Wiles (LE, $20.00) is darker (85% similar). MAC Fresh & Mint #2 (P, $21.00) is cooler (85% similar). Chanel Signe Particulier #1 (LE) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). MAC Violet Blend #1 (LE) is darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Lilac Dream #2 is a bright, sparkling silver with cool undertones and a glittery, metallic finish. It had semi-sheer coverage with a slightly wet consistency (at least, that’s how it felt) that blends over the lid fairly evenly, but I had fall out over time. The glitter felt looser and chunkier in this shade than in the average sparkle shade in Tom Ford’s quads. I would use this with an adhesive base. Tom Ford Beauty Starry Night #2 (P) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Electric Illumination (LE, $22.00) is lighter (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Tinsel (LE) is warmer (90% similar). Lit Cosmetics Tinsel Town (P, $12.95) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Black Oyster (Eye Color) (LE) is darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Lilac Dream #3 is a muted, medium taupe with cool undertones and a frosted shimmer-sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that was slightly dusty but didn’t look powdery on the skin and didn’t sheer out when applied. The color wore well for eight hours before fading. Clarins Silver Plum (07) (P, $24.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Tarte Up Too Slate (LE) is darker (90% similar). MAC Dangerous Cuvee (P, $18.50) is darker (90% similar). MAC Stroke My Ego (LE, $18.50) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Smoky Black Friday #2 (LE) is lighter (90% similar). Zoeva Wrapped in Silk (P) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). YSL Taupe Drop (03) (P, $30.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). Sephora Collection Swell (P, $13.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty The Starlet #1 (P) is darker (90% similar). Colour Pop Mixed Tape (LE, $5.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Cherie (LE, $16.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Lancome Tenacity (P, $19.00) is more shimmery, warmer (85% similar). Make Up For Ever I550 Olive Gray (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Gucci Beauty Sasso (P, $37.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Maybelline Black Orchid (130) (LE, $6.99) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
