Tarte’s Purse Your Lips Lipgloss Clutch ($39.00) features nine stunning shades of lip glosses. Each brand new, limited edition shade features Tarte’s “t5 super fruit complex” (which kind of makes me giggle–let’s be honest). The clutch that holds the lipglasses is large enough that it should fit all of the lipglosses, and then perhaps another twenty more. It’s quite roomy, so you can definitely utilize it as a holiday clutch, and not just a makeup holder, during the winter. The color of the clutch is a faux snakeskin pattern with a dark purple base with golden-greenish sheen/shimmer.
What I liked most about this holiday set is you get a lot of fun colors to play with. I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest value (you get nine 0.02oz glosses for $39, while one 0.2 oz gloss runs you $21), though it would depend on whether you consider the clutch something you’d use. But anyway, half of the time I go for a holiday set is because I can try several products out at once for less than just one. This holds true here. The shades range of peach-nude to creamy red. You’re bound to find a few favorites, and even ones that you’ll use, but hold off for that special occasion.
A downside to this set of glosses is that they are all limited edition. They were intended to be sold in this clutch only; you won’t even find names listed on them (how annoying, by the way!). So if you fall in love with one, don’t expect it to hold you over for very long, and you will have to be on the hunt for a similar shade, since no full-size exists.

How many brushes do you need to do an eye look? What brushes?
Dior’s Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer ($42.00) is my all-time favorite highlighter. It is such a phenomenally flattering combination of soft gold shimmer with bronze undertones. I think this product works well on all skin tones, but it will flatter warmer skin tones moreso than cool ones–like, let’s say instead of being a full 10/10, cool tones might find it just 8 or 9/10!
What makes this highlighter so great is the formula of the Skin Shimmer. It is a finely milled pressed powder that creates a natural, glowy sheen that’s never over the top. I’m medium-toned with warm under tones, and I find it gives me mostly shimmer, perhaps a slight bit of golden color on the cheeks. It definitely does not bronze me or darken my complexion, so for those with lighter skin tones, this is not a product to fear!
I think it must be clear this product is fully endorsed and recommended by me, considering I repurchased it. My first one broke into pieces while traveling to Hawaii this past summer, and while I smushed it all and pressed it with alcohol… it’s just not the same when it’s all mixed together (because there was just no way to separate the broken mess into definable colors like it comes!). I was just waiting for Sephora’s big sale so I could break down and get it. And now I can say… all is well again!
(I really need to get my hands on the Rose Skin Shimmer, though!)
Clinique’s Blackberry Bloom collection for the holidays has a few stunning products definitely worth a trip over to your local Clinique counter! Particularly lovely is the Fresh Bloom Allover Colour in Blackberry Bloom ($29.50) (pictured above), which is a pleasant shade of muted raspberry-mauve. It’s not too warm or cool, making it ideal for all skin tones. It has low level pearl in it; no over the top shimmer, more like a sophisticated sheen. Black Coffee ($14.00) is a rich shade of warm brown with golden flecks in it. I think it would be perfect way to add definition to the crease paired with a nude shade all over the lid. All of the shadows had great texture and consistency; they were smooth, pigmented, and blended easily.
Along with these holiday products, Clinique has come out with Party Red, featuring shades of red and coordinating products for those bold red lips. Both the Butter Shine Lipstick in Parisian Red ($14.00) and Long Last Lipstick in Party Red ($14.00) are excellent choices for your perfect holiday pout. Parisian Red seemed more like a truer red than Party Red, which is just a little subdued and has more of a frost finish to it. If I had to pick one, Parisian Red is the one I’d lust over!

I’ve created a survey about what you would like to see in the future, content-wise, on Temptalia. I would really appreciate if you could spare a few minutes to fill it out and tell us what you’d like to see here on the blog. If you don’t have an answer, you can always skip the question. All surveys are anonymous unless you provide contact information within one of your answers. Also, if you have a question/concern you want addressed, then please state this and include your email address.

OOKISA is a new hair care brand out there, and you may have seen some ads for their products, but the reviews are in short supply. I tried this at least two months ago, but I wanted to hold off on making a review until was actually available to purchase. What good is a product recommendation if you can’t buy it?! I was only able to get my hands on itsy-bitsy samples (enough for about three uses, which is about a week’s worth), but I was sooo in love with the results!
I washed with their Fortifying Shampoo ($27.95), then followed up with their Replenishing Conditioner ($29.95). Both products are sulfate-free, which is always a nice thing, but the scent is lovely. (I wish I could tell you more about the scent, but my memory fails me other than remembering it was pleasing.) See, the reason why I really loved this set of products was it actually allowed me to wash less often. Usually, I wash my hair every other day (day one, wash; day two, none; day three wash, etc.). By the end of day two, my roots are oily enough to be noticed. I found this product extended the life of my wash to day three (pretty much unheard of in my routine!). This alone made me go, “SCORE!”
I’d actually purchase a set right now, but I can’t seem to put more than one item into my cart at a time on their website, and the last thing I’m going to do is pay twice for shipping. Hopefully this is just a glitch on my end! At least you can get some samples off the site, though, for those interested in a little trial!
