Cool Heat look for y’all!
FYI, when I spoke to SCP PRO, the MA said the Neon pigments are NOT eye-safe except the green one. Well, “not recommended.” I asked if the MA had any idea why (I assumed it was the red dye), and she said it was because a lot of people have reactions to the red dye which is in like four of them? so yeah. I did order all six today from the Texas North Park PRO store, because Vegas/SCP don’t have the yellow one, and SF & LA don’t have them at all!
I used Gold Dusk pigment (LE) on lid, Warm Chill eyeshadow (LE) on inner lid, Parrot+Big T eyeshadows (both LE) in place of Cool Heat eyeshadow (LE) on middle of lid, Blue Flame eyeshadow (LE) on middle of lid, Climate Blue eyeshadow (LE) on outer lid and crease, Warm Chill eyeshadow (LE) above crease, Femme-fi eyeshadow (LE) on brow, Greenplay liquidlast liner on upper lash line, Overgrown eyeshadow (LE) over Greenplay, Feline kohl power (LE) on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Sunbasque blush on cheeks with Dior Amber Diamond SkinShimmer to highlight. I wore High 90s slimshine (LE) with Tartlette lipglass (LE) on my lips.
** These are recommendations for dupes based on permanent colors available — may not necessarily be identical; they are the closest I can think of!
Gold Dusk = White Gold + Golden Lemon; Warm Chill = Juxt (closest permanent); Parrot = Sea Me + Shimmermoss; Big T = Electric Eel + Shimmermoss (different texture); Blue Flame = Deep Truth + Freshwater; Femme-fi = Shroom; Overgrown = Bitter; Feline = Graphblack; High 90s = Skew

The Red Lips Challenge went so well, and it has made consider whether we should institute monthly challenges–let me know what you think in the comments. For June, I want to see you rock BLUE! In the challenge image, I’ve included six different blue looks I’ve done, and you can see that they vary from all-blue to subtle blue to ultra dark, smoky black and blue. I’d like to think challenges are meant to encourage you to try things you haven’t otherwise done before.
The Challenge | Rock some blue! Figure out where you are in your comfort zone, and then take it to the next level…
- “Blues are pretty to look at, but I’d never wear them!” | Your Challenge: Wear it in the comfort of your own home.
- “I’ve tried it, but I couldn’t wear it out” | Your Challenge: Wear it to the grocery store! Round up some pals (or get the man in your life) to take you somewhere hip and trendy.
- “There is this one blue…” | Your Challenge: Incorporate your favorite blue with other blues (or blue-like colors) that you haven’t yet tried.
- “I rock blues all the time!” | Your Challenge: Encourage others that wearing blue is fun and sexy, not at all Mimi-esque!
Are you ready for Temptalia’s Blue Eyes Challenge? If you take the challenge, I encourage you to submit the results in picture form to [email protected], as well as all testimonials and written results are happily taken–just include your comment on this post! If you’re a little wary of your photos being on the blog, think about posting them on the forum, where only members can view your photos.
Who doesn’t like deals? When you purchase a Color Lock System Try Me Kit, Zoya will give you a complimentary full size sampler of the Gossip collection (The Hills-inspired launch) when you enter in promo code SUMMER. This promotion will run through Tuesday, June 10th. I have to tell you that the Color Lock System is something that is a staple in my life. I use it all of the time, so it’s well worth trying. The system is designed to give you Anchor (your base coat), Armor (your top coat), Hurry Up (your speed-drying coat), as well as Remove+ (an excellent polish remover that is gentle and easy to use!).
Check out these ladies who took the Temptalia Red Lips Challenge! Make sure you see the first round of submissions, second round, and third round too!
Thanks to all of the lovely ladies who participated in the challenge! I hope they have inspired and assured those who have been more hesistant to rock the red to go out there and paint the town RED.

I did some quick comparisons last night, as you can see above!
Warm Chill is closer to Metamorph than Juxt, but instead of having a cool-yellow kind of undertone, Warm Chill is more of a gold-green undertone. They’re different; I definitely wouldn’t say Juxt is a dupe.
Climate Blue isn’t like anything I currently own, but I do think it is similar to Jeweltone (but I think it may be darker/richer in purple, more of a royal purple).
Blue Flame is almost like a cross between Deep Truth and Freshwater — I originally recalled Flashtrack, but thinking about it, I think Flashtrack is darker than Deep Truth (I don’t own it, so I’m going purely by my unreliable memory). It’s definitely not the same as Deep Truth, because it is bluer and a bit brighter; but Freshwater is obviously much lighter than Blue Flame.
Do you like to hear about new collections? Is it fun for you to plan out what you want from first-glimpse? Would you rather hear about it after it has launched?
