In honor of World Vegan Day, which is today (November 1st), 824 LUSH employees from North America will go vegan to support their vegan customers. 76% of LUSH products are suitable for vegan and labeled so. If you head down to your local LUSH today (and I’m actually making a little detour there today), you might see shop assistants dressed up as giant vegetables. Other stores will have vegan samples available for customers to try.
“LUSH has always attracted people looking for a workplace that doesn’t clash with their ethical life choices, so we have a high number of vegetarians, vegans and environmentalists working here and we see a huge number of ethical customers coming through our doors every day,” says Brandi Halls, LUSH’s (vegan) Communications Manager. “It is great that our work colleagues are willing to join us for a day of being vegan. By walking a mile in a vegan’s (non-leather) shoes, LUSH employees will get a great insight into what veganism is all about.”
Do we have any vegan readers? How does being vegan change your beauty habits?
Happy Halloween my dearest readers! I hope everybody’s having a fun (and safe–yeah, I said it!) holiday, whether you’re staying in or heading out for midnight festivities. The boy and I actually ran some errands, stopped at Borders and had a coffee date, and now we’re home. I compiled this post with three “looks” I’ve done that are sort of Halloween-y. They’re basically masks/more dramatic makeup that wouldn’t be something I’d rock to the grocery store on a regular day. Surprisingly enough, only one of these looks was done for Halloween. I admit, I used to be far more creative and experimental when I first got into makeup. I think I might have to sift through some of my old folders for photos to get inspired for the future
What’d you do (or what are you going to do) for the holiday?
I’d LOVE to see all the fantastic costumes and makeup (whether traditional or totally off-the-wall) and do a round-up. Submit your photos to temptalia[at]gmail.com!
As of October 29th, 2008, Temptalia achieved its fundraising goal of $1,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I want to give you all my greatest thanks and utmost appreciation for your support in our efforts! Today is the last day for fundraising, and just because we hit our goal doesn’t mean you can’t still donate. Again, thank you, dearest readers, for your tremendous support. Know that every single cent counts in the efforts to fight against this devastating disease and help find a cure.
I will select a winner over the weekend, who will be notified via the email address they paid via PayPal with. Good luck to everyone! Donation will be made once the donations received can be transferred to our debit card (BCRF takes donations via credit card only, not PayPal). I will post a confirmation once the donation has occurred!
