Philosophy’s Candy Hearts Duo ($20.00) consists of Pink Bubbly and Angel Food Cake Flavored Lip Shines. Flavored Lip Shines usually go for $12 a pop, but these two aren’t available for individual purchase, though buying together does save you $4. There’s something about Philosophy’s keen ability to flavor/scent their products just as they’re described that makes me want to collect ‘em all. I collect (but I still use ‘em!) their shower gels and these lip shines.
Pink Bubbly is a sheer, glossy silvery pink color. The glitter is mostly silver in it, while the bsae is an extremely sheer pink. It really doesn’t transfer into a lot of color onto the lips by any means. Angel Food Cake is arguably just as sheer, but it has more pop in its shimmer/glitter. The glitter is a bright pop of pale yellow gold and more orange-y gold. The base is a very sheer pale yellowish shade (basically, clear with a tint of yellow). They both smell delicious, which is really my big reason for always having these on hand. (These aren’t designed to be ultra pigmented–so they’re not masquerading as color rich glosses!)
Flavored Lip Shines are undoubtedly high in glossiness and low in stickiness. They’re one of my favorite ways to keep my lips moisturized throughout the day. The low color lets me wear these anywhere, any time.

4 Must-Have MAC Teal Eyeshadows
About the Temptalia Must-Haves Series
A series of posts showcasing must-have products from MAC Cosmetics’ permanent line of products. Selections are based on quality, universality, uniqueness amongst the line, and the like. Limited edition shades are deliberately excluded to make buying easier. Readers’ comments act as a supplement to these lists of their favorites and must-haves. You can find the entire series here.
Shimmermoss eyeshadow is my absolute favorite teal eyeshadow. It’s vibrant, pigmented, and it goes on effortlessly. It blends easily with other shades (especially golds and blues), and I’ve used it so much and yet it doesn’t even have much of a dip in it–that’s how rich in color it is.
Steamy eyeshadow is kind of a dirty green-teal color. I find it to be in the teal family, but it definitely has green undertones to it. I like it for its duality.
Newly Minted eyeshadow is a matte finish semi-dusky teal. It’s quite “minty” in a way. While my all-time favorite Melody eyeshadow (long discontinued) holds my heart in this type of teal, Newly Minted is a very close runner-up.
Aquadisiac eyeshadow is a light, glittery aqua-teal shade. It’s one of the lightest teal colors MAC has come out with, and it is definitely a must if you like to wear teals or blues.

Do you buy drugstore makeup? Why/why not? Any hits? Misses?
For the most part, not any more. It’s not really that I don’t believe in quality drugstore finds, because there are definitely some! I just gravitate towards high end collections and products, so I budget accordingly
Looks like Stila Cosmetics just might have lucked out. Stila CEO Deanna Kangas confirmed a deal with Patriach Partners (venture capital firm)…
According to WWD…
Struggling indie brand Stila Cosmetics has found a last-minute savior: venture capital firm Patriarch Partners LLC. The deal is expected to be finalized on Monday.
According to several sources, it’s been a rocky several weeks for the brand, which is said to have furloughed its entire workforce the last week in March due to the company’s inability to make payroll. Former owner Sun Capital Partners, which had acquired the brand from the Estee Lauder Cos., is said to have pulled the plug on the company’s financing at that time. The deal was confirmed late Sunday afternoon by Stila ceo Deanna Kangas and Patriarch Partners spokesperson Taylor Griffin. — WWD
