A play on Oh No They Didn’t’s “Free For All Fridays,” every Friday is Free For Haul Fridays! Friday is a day for fun — whether you’re already off enjoying your weekend or if you just need a way to get through til the end of the work day, FFH is here for you!
Share your latest beauty hauls! Once you’ve done that… say anything you’d like. Recommend your favorite book, or tell us what you just started reading; share a great dessert recipe or a photo of your pet (which is sure to be the cutest, yeah?).
I hope your week has been better than mine! The week itself has been just fine for the most part… except that I’ve been sick since last Friday with a cold/flu. All I know is I’ve decided that the worst part during the day is feeling achy, and the worst part during the night is coughing up a lung while trying to sleep! I’m crossing my fingers I’m better by Monday!
What are your weekend plans?
For my weekend, I’ll be heading to Nordstrom’s Trend Show on Saturday morning and then trying to relax a bit on Sunday and get some homework done.

MAC Style Black: The blogosphere is still buzzin’ in anticipation for MAC’s Style Black Collection… due out this coming Thursday. Only a few more days to wait!
Here’s another look using the from Stila! I also tried to fit in some purply-lips, too. I probably wouldn’t re-use the lip combination with this look — there’s just not enough of the eggplant-y purple showing through to tie them together. I’d most likely go for a lighter, paler pinky lip with a sheer purple gloss on top for a slight purple cast instead. Live and learn!
You will need the following…
Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Stila All Doll’d Up Eyeshadow Palette (champagne, pink, and purple), MAC Fig. 1 eyeshadow (eggplant-burgundy), MAC Femme-Fi eyeshadow (highlighter), Stila Purple Pumps Smudge Pot (purple), Plushlash mascara (black)
Cheeks: MAC Blooming blush (pale pink)
Lips: MAC Up the Amp lipstick (purple), MAC Violetta lipstick (bright fuchsia-purple), MAC Negligee lipglass (light purple)
Substitutes: Substitute Stila shades for MAC Retrospeck, Pink Venus, Parfait Amour; Blooming = Well Dressed; Negligee = Luminary + Violet pigment
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply MAC Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, pack Stila’s champagne eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Stila’s light pink eyeshadow to the middle and outer portions of the lid. Darken the outer lid with Stila’s purple eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with MAC Fig. 1 eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Stila Purple Pumps Smudge Pot on lower lash line, and apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with MAC Blooming blush using the 129. Apply MAC Up the Amp lipstick to lips, and then layer MAC Violetta lipstick on top, and then finish with MAC Negligee lipglass for color and shine.

Skin: The models skin was left as pure as possible, using very light foundation where needed.
Eyes: Dick first applied a makeup remover around the eyes with a fluffy brush to give a wet base and slightly glossy effect around the eyes. He then blended two shades of the Luminizing Satin Eye Colors from the Fall 2009 Collection, Squirrel (BR303) and Cavern (BR708). He applied the combination of shadows around the eyes (on top and bottom), right into the lashlines. He then used this color on the lids to create “dirty looking eyes.” No mascara or liner is used.
Lips: To create a matte lip, Dick blended two shades from the new Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte line from the Spring 2010 collection. Whisper (RD722) and Wink (BR323) were combined to create a flat mauve color, ultimately yielding “smudgy lips”.
