Cult Nails Manipulative Nail Lacquer
Cult Nails Manipulative Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as an “opaque pale blue with a hint of green” with a cream finish and subtle shimmer. It’s a dusty aqua blue with bluish-white shimmer. It really does hide in certain light, but with enough light, the shimmer is noticeable. OCC Pool Boy is similar but brighter, more vibrant. Nubar Blue Hydrangea is bluer. It’s actually really cool to see Cult Nails put out shades that I haven’t seen on the market–it just seems more often than not they’re creating a shade that meets an unmet need (though I certainly haven’t seen every shade by every brand ever made, so there may be closer dupes out there).
It’s opaque in two coats, and the formula was absolutely flawless–not too thick or too thin, flowed fluidly across the nail, no drag, pull, or pooling to the edges. Cult Nails’ formulas tend to wear a full week on me with no chipping and very minor tip wear. It’s a gorgeous color for summer; would look really lovely on toes for those days at the beach or at the swimming pool (I have a thing for aqua/blue-polished toes against a blue pool).
M·A·C Cosmetics announced today a limited edition line of cosmetics with fashion visionary and muse Carine Roitfeld, to launch in Fall 2012. Carine collaborated on all creative aspects of the collection; package design, product names and colour palettes. The M·A·C Carine Roitfeld Collection features 20 pieces with a focus on eyes and brows that reflect Carine’s signature look: smoky eye, bold brows and nude lips.
A specially created Good Luck Star stencil makes its debut and can be seen in the collection image for which Carine was photographed by Mario Sorrenti. This marks the first time M·A·C has worked with the legendary photographer.

Bobbi’s love for the beach inspired her Shimmer Cheek Glow. A skin-illuminating powder and gel hybrid gives cheeks that just-back-from-vacation glow.
Featured in Bobbi’s Miami Collection, Beach Shimmering Fragrance Oil combines pretty shimmer and the scent of Beach Fragrance into lightweight oil, for an all-over body experience. 30 ML.
It’s the same scent, but with a new look–Bobbi’s best-selling fragrance gets an update in a sleek bottle. Designed with a lightly intoxicating blend of sand jasmine, sea spray, and mandarin, Beach captures the atmosphere and attitude of summer. This Eau de Parfum is wearable anytime, anywhere.
I use different brushes for each color as well as the application method! I typically use 3-4 brushes per look.
