Temptalia Asks You

Do you consider yourself a beauty addict? Why/why not?

Temptalia's Answer.

Oh, yeah, most definitely! ;) I think spending most of my waking hours talking, thinking, playing with, and writing about beauty pretty much cinches it.

Dior Rose Brazilia Bronze Harmony Blushicon ($42.00) is new for summer from Dior. Rose Brazilia accompanied Coral Riviera, which I absolutely loved. Rose Brazilia is rosy shade of blush with a touch of peachiness to it. It has more warmth than I expected, but I’m quite content with the results! The shimmery gold flecks are an overlay, so they do not go through the blush itself. I do feel the blush has a bit of sheen/tiny shimmer throughout, so it isn’t a matte blush–just not filled with lots of shimmery bits. This is a great blush for everyday, natural looks, and just an overall nice piece to add to my blush collection.

12 Must-Have MAC Blushes

About the Temptalia Must-Haves Series

A series of posts showcasing must-have products from MAC Cosmetics’ permanent line of products. Selections are based on quality, universality, uniqueness amongst the line, and the like. Limited edition shades are deliberately excluded to make buying easier. Readers’ comments act as a supplement to these lists of their favorites and must-haves. You can find the entire series here.

Powder Blushes

  • Well Dressed blush is a confection of cool, baby pink with a satiny smooth texture. I love to wear this shade (even with my warmer coloring) with cooler toned looks, especially with cool purples or smoky eyes.
  • Dollymix blush is a bolder, brighter dirty pink with a light shimmer. This is one of those blushes that makes the cheeks really stand out and become a focal point.
  • Margin blush is a dirty peach with a little bit of berriness to it. It’s an incredibly flattering color on a variety of skintones, and it is, by far, one of my favorite everyday blushes.
  • Plum Foolery is a dirty plum-berry shade with slight shimmer. The pigmentation is amazing, and the color is incredibly versatile.

PK 369, PK 325N

I recently tried two products from shu uemura’s Rouge Unlimited Pink Collection, which is a summer collection featuring nine Rouge Unlimited lipsticks and five Gloss Unlimited lipglosses–all pink themed, of course!

I tried PK 325N, which is a light pink gloss with blue-purple undertones. It applied fairly sheerly, but it still gave my lips a nice pink tint along with fuchsia sparkles that kind of cast a blue-violet shade. The shimmer is soft and fine, so it doesn’t feel like chunky glitter in the least.

I also tested out PK 369, which is a bright pink lipstick with blue undertones. This is an opaque lip color that packs quite a bit of pink punch. It’s definitely not for anyone afraid of rockin’ a bold lip! It feels creamy, and the finish is a glossy sheen that works well when worn alone.

Combining the two created a very glossy, fuchsia-ish pout. You could see a lot of the purplish shimmer from the gloss bring o the brightness in the lipstick. The two worked well together, though the combination is extremely bright!

Temptalia Asks You

Do you ever get stumped on what makeup to wear? How do you get past it?

Temptalia's Answer.

I usually just try to wear a look I’ve done in the past that I know works. I just let the stump get me for the day, LOL!
