Dubbed Eyes by Design, the line will be sold exclusively on HSN and both companies hope the collection will reinvigorate that category.
Jane Hudis, president and founder of BeautyBank, said, “Research showed that the eye category is where women lack the greatest confidence — they want to experiment and play around but don’t have the confidence to do so.” She added that the objective was to allow women to experiment in the comfort of their own homes.
Hudis also sees this as a pivotal time for the industry, especially in terms of retailing. Companies are shifting in their thinking from being “distribution-centric to consumer-centric,” she asserted.
You know, I’ve never bought something via the TV. I’ve hardly ever watched HSN or any of the shopping channels (in fact, I used to have them blocked, ha!). What about you? Do you dig channels like HSN (well, at least they have a website, too!), or are you a brick and mortar kind of gal?

So Roselyn tagged me to share six quirky facts about myself, and here goes!
- I love doing jigsaw puzzles, like insanely large ones. The largest I’ve ever done was 12,000 pieces, and it was of the New York City skyline pre-9/11. I actually have it framed in three chunks. Someday I’ll have a house where I have a wall long enough that I can hang it on!
- You know logic puzzles? The ones where you have to figure out who did what and when they did it with what vehicle or something like that. I was so excited to take the LSAT just because you got to practice logic games, LOL.
- I used to edit ten online magazines when I was age 13 to 18 (yes, seriously, ten!). They were “zines” that I distributed via email on AOL. I think the most subscribers I ever had for one individual magazine was around 5,000.
- I graduated with 300 units from my undergraduate institution, where the minimum amount to graduate was 180, in three years. (Too bad my GPA wasn’t particularly outstanding, above a 3, but yeah — don’t rush through college!)
- I’m terribly allergic to rodents (including guinea pigs, which I’ve always loved) and cats, and I’m even a bit allergic to dogs (!).
- I hate law school with a passion!
Six quirky BEAUTY-related facts…
- I hate the way upper lash liner looks and feels on me… I swear, it makes my lids feel so heavy and droopy.
- I’m utterly confounded by the vast amount of ingredients in products, not to mention all of the products available.
- Beauty blogging has opened up an entire realm of brands, products, and knowledge I never knew before.
- I am addicted to chapstick, and I prefer all my lip balm to be in stick form.
- I’ve put vaseline on my lips everyday night since I was five.
- I am an utter dunce when it comes to applying false eyelashes! I either will get it done SUPER quick or it’ll take me an hour to get one side done.

OVERALL, Naughty Nauticals releases something that will probably tickle your fancy–from the pigments to the pop of red lipstick to the duochrome lustreglass. My favorites from this launch were Loveknot lustreglass, Port Red lipstick, Illegal Cargo eyeshadow, and Mutiny pigment. Anyone who loves pinks for lips should be sure to take a peek at Loveknot and Ensign lustrglasses, and all of the lipsticks (except Port Red) are pink-based.
The Stowaways quad is worth a look, but I think those who don’t have access shouldn’t fear that it is a huge must-have quad!
Skinsheen was out, and the sprays look like typical summer self-tan sprays (I didn’t try it out as I didn’t want to just have a blotch of tan on my arm, ha). I adored the body brush, though; it is so thick and lush and luxurious. I really want it, but it is a bit pricey, and I’m not entirely sure what I would be using it for!

This is a look from a week or two ago! I’m about to get my butt in the shower so I can get ready to dash over to Nordstrom’s to check out Naughty Nauticals, so you can definitely expect to see reviews and swatches galore in a bit
I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Sunny Girl eyeshadow (LE) on inner lid, Aquadisiac eyeshadow on outer lid, Patina eyeshadow on outer crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Urban Decay Stash 24/7 liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore Margin blush on cheeks, and I had Sweetie lipstick with C-Thru lipglass on my lips.
