Avon Anew Ultimate Contouring Eye System ($30.00)
You know what I like, I like an anti-aging product that takes the guesswork out of your skincare routine. There is nothing like a product that commits itself to either AM, PM, or both. Of course, skincare gurus can identify when products should be used, but let’s face it–skincare is a vast world that is confusing and ever-changing for the rest of us (which includes me).
This is a nifty system is actually two products stacked on top of each other. The top piece is the Concentrated Elixir that is kind of like a serum (in its marketing for intensity as well as texture), and it is to be used at night on under eye area, over the Intensive Repair Cream. When you unscrew the Concentrated Elixir, it reveals the Intensive Repair Cream, which is to be used both AM and PM.
I couldn’t speak much to the results, as I am still blessed with youthful skin, so I don’t have much to go off of. I did notice that my eyes felt a little uplifted/lighter. I do think that this product will be better for those in the 30s than those in the late 40s and 50s, because it is likely to have better results on newly created fine lines and superficial lines than defined wrinkles.

Ohh, a little overboard in this look. I’m probably heading up to my parents’ house, so I’ll end up wearing a different look there anyway! (I usually spend all day outside running around with my puppy, so minimal makeup is usually better!)
I used Lark About pigment (LE) on inner lid, Mutiny pigment (LE) on middle of lid, Bell Bottom Blue pigment (LE) on outer lid, Rite of Spring eyeshadow (LE) on inner lid, Juxt eyeshadow on middle of lid, Newly Minted eyeshadow on middle of lid, Freshwater eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Juxt eyeshadow above crease, Phloof! eyeshadow on brow, Mutiny pigment (LE) on lower lash line, Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line, Blacktrack fluidline on upper lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Other Worldly blush (LE) on cheeks with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer on cheeks. I wore Fun Fun lipstick (LE) with Comet Blue dazzleglass (LE) and Ms. Fizz dazzleglass (LE).
** These are recommendations for dupes based on permanent colors available — may not necessarily be identical; they are the closest I can think of!
Lark About = Frozen White; Mutiny = Sky Blue (PRO); Bell Bottom Pigment = Naval, Deep Truth; Rite of Spring = Pink Opal; Other Worldly = Raizin; Fun Fun = Pervette; Comet Blue = Turquatic Glitter + gloss; Ms. Fizz = Flashmode (maybe)

Belli is a skincare line that includes three branches: Belli Pregnancy, Belli Motherhood, and Belli Baby. Belli Pregnancy products are teratology screened to make sure that ingredients have never been associated with birth defects. Belli Motherhood products are Lact_med screened to make sure that it doesn’t contain ingredients that are problematic during nursing. Belli Baby provides incredibly gentle produts for the baby that exclude xenoestrogens (like phthalates) that may be potentially harmful.
I know we definitely have some moms on Temptalia, and I imagine we have some mothers-to-be, if not mothers-in-planning. Even though I have no plans [ever] to have children, I think it is worth every penny to ensure you give your baby the best health you can. Teratology screening is important when it comes to the products that may be absorbed through your skin.
Here are some products that you should definitely take a peek at, because I found them to work just as well as my normal skincare products based on trying and testing them out.
Belli Pregnancy | Acne Clearing Facial Wash ($22.00) exfoliates and uses acne-fighting ingredients without being drying. It uses hydroxyacid, and it is safe to use during pregnancy, unlike other acne treatments. Skin Smoothing Body Exfoliator ($24.00) is a body scrub with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients, and it is often used to prep skin for other Belli products. Elasticity Belly Oil ($42.00) helps prevent stretchmarks occurring–just like with anti-aging, prevention is more effective than repair.
But you know what products I want to REALLY try? Some of their stretchmark minimizing products! Unfortunately, mine are old and have nothing to do with pregnancy, LOL.

Still shopping for Mother’s Day? Here are a few more ideas!
LUSH’s Mum Gift is an adorable box that will tickle your mom’s nose the minute she opens it up! It contains The Comforter bubble bar, Sakura bath bomb, Lily Savon soap, Each Peach massage bar (mini), Celestial moisturizer (sample size), and Dream Cream! If you have a tub, bath bombs are divine, and massage bars? Your dad just might thank you later! Dream Cream is also a staple in my beauty closet! (And I totally have the Mum gift for myself, too!) Get yours at www.lushusa.com or in-store.
Kiehl’s Gardenia Hand and Body Lotion ($19.50), Gardenia Liquid Body Cleanser ($15.50), and Gardenia Candle ($28) will be a wonderfully fragrant favorite for “just-for-her” pampering. If you happen to live near a Kiehl’s freestanding store, you can do this nifty thing where you customize the package by putting it inside a certain gift box. I’m all about making gift baskets and the like! Available at www.kiehls.com.
Misikko is having a Mother’s Day sale, and Misikko is where Temptalia goes when she is need of a hair styling tool. I mean, hello, a T3 Evolution for only $189.99 (on sale, obviously!)
