Tuesday, May 11, 2010I love these colours! I got a pedicure two months ago with the “teal is the new black” I loved the colour it isn’t as green in the picture above. It is kinda darker and less green. But lovely to say the least! I just got a new pedi today and got the “A good mandarin is hard to find” and tomorrow I am on the hunt for the colour to buy it IT IS AMAZING AND BRIGHT! Love it.. I also am loving the “Hot and Spicy” just my thoughts! :)

Wednesday, December 16, 2009This doesn’t look like a very well edited collection. The colour theme isn’t very well defined, the shades are all over the place and terribly unoriginal. The only unifying denominator are the names, but those can be applicable to any colours.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009I was thinking the same thing!

Thursday, February 11, 2010I have to totally disagree with you comment, respectively. I live in HK and, in my opinion, these set of colours are the perfect combination to represent HK. In just a few days, Chinese New Year will approach, and lanterns of exactly these colours will appear everywhere. i’m guessing that you have never visited China at a festive time of year, as then you would totally understand this collection. I suggest that you google ‘chinese new year’ ‘chinese lanterns’ or ‘lantern festival’ to see what I’m talking about.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009I quite like the variety of colours (not too much red… people make way too much red polishes.). The gold and pearl look good, but I’m not very adventurous with colour… names are cool, especially for me cos I’m from Hong Kong originally.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009I don’t know about this collection, I’m not feeling it. In both this collection and the Christmas/Holiday collection, I’ve noticed that they do a lot of very similar red shades and then a small handful of “different” colors. I’d just like to see more variety, instead of just a bunch of the same old reds. I’m disappointed there isn’t a really good yellow (not gold, but yellow) or black. The Holiday collection didn’t even have a green!
Like Kristina said, the last few collections from OPI have really been unified more by their clever names than by their collection colors.
I would prefer to see something more along the lines of the new China Glaze collection – it was such a great spectrum of colors that came together to form a cohesive group.
Kristina
Wednesday, December 16, 2009I agree with you completely about the China Glaze collection. Although there are a few shades that I would not wear, I can appreciate that the gamut of tones harmonize in unison, so the entire collection makes sense.
I adore when brands are seemingly meticulously when choosing colours to sally forth an untapped trend or an artistic endeavor. OPI’s France collection did that brilliantly.
And yeah, enough “alREDy”

Wednesday, December 16, 2009Wow cool names (Since I live in Hong Kong)! But the colors do not associate with the Hong Kong theme very well though, it seems like OPI pull together a bunch of shades and give them cool names and that’s just it!
Love the star ferry shade though, i ride on the ferry a few times a month!

Wednesday, December 16, 2009i am from hong kong, so i was very excited to see OPI coming out with this collection. but after i saw the pictures and names, i have to say i hate it! the colours remind me nothing like hong kong and most of the names are horrible too! i don’t really get what they are trying to say with the names and i know they are trying to play with words but “dim sum plum”? dim sum in plum? you like it? cool! but this “hong kong collection” really annoys me, i never saw my city in the way they present it and i can barely see a girl in hongkong wear these colours. sorry, just my opinion, no offense.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009If it makes any of you Hong Kong denizens feel better, the India colors weren’t remotely Indian either.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009I can’t wait to own Bling Dynasty and Meet Me on the Star Ferry

Saturday, December 19, 2009The colours (not shade names) don’t make me think of Hong Kong at all, except maybe replicating the neon signs! Hah. The shade names are awesome though.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009i guess one green is better than none. finally opi is catching on to what polishaholics have been saying for quite some time: WE WANT MORE GREENS DAMMIT.
