    Amy is quite correct, first Tuesday in November is election day on election years….and in fact, in SF, they’re re-electing the mayor. It’s just not an election year outside of weirdo events like the SF Mayorial race. Which is why it was a rather subtle remark, sorry for not being more clear to begin with.
