NYX Stella Lipstick

NYX Stella Round Lipstick ($4.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a creamy medium pink with yellow undertones. The finish has a natural sheen to it that gives it a nice luminosity, and the color coverage is mostly opaque. MAC Joie-de-Vivre is slightly yellower. MAC Hot Gossip is darker.

Like Haute Melon, there was a fair amount of slip in the creamy consistency of this particular shade that made it slide around during application. It was also easy to move around the applied product and get lines of color. Again, this shade didn’t wear for long, about three hours, when I typically average four hours of wear on a regular lipstick (not one touted as long-wearing). Mine didn’t have any scent, but other NYX lipsticks I’ve tried have almost been vanilla scented. I’ve had this for some time before opening it, though, so it’s possible the scent faded away over time (a lot of my budget-friendly lipsticks lose their scent very quickly).

The Glossover

The yellow undertones are subtle but noticeable, so if blue-based pinks don't work for you, this might be an option. If you like the idea of a warmer pink but often find they're too warm, this may also be something to consider.

I’ve bought this one about half a year ago. I don’t use lipstick very often, i like nude lips better, but i don’t, i love to wear this one!

beautiful color :( too bad it doesn’t look good on lips :( and you have nice lips, i can only imagine how it’d look on my dry flaky lips :))

  3. This is such a pretty pink. It’s sad that NYX lipsticks are a little TOO creamy sometimes. I rarely wear mine anymore because I realized that there’s a point when creamy becomes smeary :(

  4. the colour is nice though!

  5. Hi Christine, just wondering how does this compare to Viva Glam Nicki? They look similar.

  6. This looks like a pretty, spring lipstick on you and like it would be very easy to pull off! :)

  7. Gorgeous color! Looks like I’m picking this up!

    OMG absolutely stunning!!!!
reminds me of Viva Glam Nicki.

  9. It’s a really pretty color but I hate that it gets between the cracks on your lips and looks….like a grandma is wearing it. From a distance it’s gorgeous but up close that bugs me.

How come yours look so smooth?! Not perfectly smooth, but compared to mine…….
I love this color but I get all sorts of chunks on my (well-exfoliated) lips.

i find that the lighter/nude shades smells horrible, and the consistency is too creamy for me, like you say moves around. The darker shades like Heredes and Ulysses on the other hand.. amazinggg!!!

  12. this is such a pretty shade…wud love it in my kittyyyy
