New Year’s Eve Look with MAC Peacocky

Though I spent New Year’s Eve at home playing with makeup (err, I mean, reviewing Peacocky!), I still felt like I needed to get a little dolled up–at the very least! It was actually the first New Year’s Eve that my boyfriend and I have spent together, just him and I. I wanted something soft but still a little glitzy, and the new Mega Metal Eyeshadows were obviously the way to go–get to test them out, get my glitz!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Dalliance eyeshadow all over the lid. Lightly blend Centre Stage eyeshadow into the crease and blend into the outer corner with the 222. Next, apply Sex-pectations eyeshadow into the lower crease with the 239 (horizontally), lightly blending with Centre Stage. Blend Trench eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Perversion eyeliner on the lower lash line and pat Dalliance eyeshadow on lower lower lash line with a dampened 219 to brighten. Finish by sweeping lashes with Inimitable Intense mascara.

For cheeks, apply Sur blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then highlight with Gana blush using the 165.

For lips, apply Scandelicious lipcolour for a complementing lip.

Wow~~~!! You look great!!! I really love this make up!!

Mac should pay you!!!! I'm buying because of this look on top of my list I already had!

Hello, Gorgeous! I just ordered the shadows and lip color from this look, and can't wait to try them out. I don't own any of the blushes (or dupes) that you used, so what would you recommend for someone with similar coloring but lighter skin?

Really any natural blush - so a peach, neutral pink, or even a soft plum would work! :)

I love this look! It looks very natural, then blink, and there's a very pretty surprise!

you look so pretty! love this look on you.

Very pretty and shimmery. I love it. Its nice to see you doing some looks again. I would love to see more.

Beautiful! I'm so getting Scandalicious! Dalliance is gorgeous too.

Scandelicious just pops on you, absolutely stunning! Wante even more now!

Your eyes are so pretty :)

You look gorgeous :-)

love the lip color! do more tutorials on YT!!

Glad you liked it, Mariel!

You're so pretty! LOVE THIS!

I was just looking at the eye shot, thinking that this is a surprisingly tame look for a bright collection like Peacocky, but then I scrolled down to the lips, and BAM, I get three of my favorite things: Sexy, fun, and hot pink! You always balance your looks out so well. Hope you had a great new year!

Thanks a lot, Vijaya! :)

Oh wow, this look is perfection! Very interesting gradient of shades. Good work Christine!

Do you ever do video tutorials? I appreciate your breakdown but would LOVE to see you do a look as well. I LOVE this look. It is perfect!

I have some on YouTube under the user name Temptalia :)

You look gorgeous!! I love the eyeshadows...looks like I might be springing for a few of them, now. Your lips look great too!

You look stunning in this look.

How's the Burberry pressed powder compared to the Laura Mercier setting powder you usually finish with? I noticed the difference in the description and was curious!

They're really two different products, as Burberry can be used as a foundation.

This look is subtle & beautiful on you Christine! Now I am really wanting the Dalliance eyeshadow from this collection. I have never used them wet because I don't want to ruin the eyeshadows but I should give it a try! Thanks so much for all the photos you have posted on this collection. Happy New Year!

I've used several wet, and they have no dry spots or anything :)

this is really pretty =) i love the red lips !
