I do love this dress for our pleasantly pregnant Natalie. I would love to know which lipstick she is wearing because I want it! lol The hair not so much.
The lipstick is named in the post.
Rouge Dior Lipcolor in Star Fuchsia #766
Her makeup doesn’t look horrible, but it does look a bit unfinished, especially for a formal occasion.
Totally agree!
This is so beautiful and simple, I love it!
It’s a shame they caught her with that blank look on her face in the full body shot: I really like her makeup but am NOT feeling the dress.
Meh. The makeup isn’t “special” enough for red carpet event. Perhaps if the lips were a bit more pigmented, but right now it feels like she’s wearing barely a step above chapstick and mascara.
Beautiful makeup, the lip coordinates well with her whole look. The hair is simple and elegant, very pretty. The dress is stunning as well except for the giant red rose, its distracted the soft and pretty dress.
She looks great. Perfect choice for early prego stages! But I’m dying to find out what lipstick she’s wearing. That seems to be a statement of hers this awards season. Love it.
Loving everything about this! Even the giant rose on her chest!
She is STUNNING. Just perfect.
ABSOLUTELY stunning. She looks soooo gorgeous.
I didn’t know she was pregnant, I was just going to ask! She looks beautiful as usual!
It seems a little bride’s maid-ish to me. Would love to see her in a more daring dress and short hair! Wish she would shave it like she did for V for Vendetta!
pretty dress…could have done without the rose embellishment, though. eye makeup is gorgeous…this dress reminds me of the flowerbomb by viktor and rolf perfume bottle
Very simple. Very beautiful.
Awuh I had no idea she was pregnant! Congrats to her. But I’m not liking that dress one bit.
i think the rose on the dress is cool. she could’ve put a little more eyeshadow on the define the eyes more. i don’t like the swoop the hair is doing.
Star Fuchsia lipstick by Dior is amazing. I’ve had the same color (in different names) over the years.
I recommend it if you like bright yet deep fuchsia colors. Although it looks like they lightly applied it on her.
Love Love Love this!!!! everything is so gorgeous! That dress is so flattering on her
That rose on her dress totally killed it. She used to be sooo cute, I don’t know she looks different and not in a good way…either way congrats to her since she’ll be a mommy soon.
Loving the pregnant Natalie but can do without the rose.
Makeup PERFECTION.
She takes soft, drapey, shiny baby pink satin and bright lipstick red accessories (on a pregnant bod no less) and makes it lokk AMAZING. It shouldn’t work but it does.
Stunning. My favourite look!
Very feminine and subtle and lovely. Too bad they didn’t catch a smile on the full body shot, but maybe she was getting kicked at that particular moment. Interesting nails.
Now that’s what I am talking about. Color in the makeup, and a dress which is both formal and fun. A+ !!!!!
I love her makeup and necklace, but would have liked to see her with her hair down. At first glance, the dress made me think of a satin bedsheet gathered round her and pinned together.
umm, that’s really kinda pushing the line if you ask me. christine asked to keep it respectful. I thought that was not. her blog though, just my opinion
It’s all DIOR I guess, the rose could have been a bit smaller, otherwise GREAT. 10 points – and I really do not like her.
Don“t like the dress or the make up. Totally boring look and she looks like she coming from the bedroom.
She looks so beautiful and elegant. I love her, always!
Are we sure Natalie Portman isn’t a Cullen? She’s got glowing eyes in the closeup picture. I actually hate the dress because I can’t think of anything cornier than a giant red rose on a pink dress. I think she would’ve looked better if the dress was black, and there was no rose on it. She looks very uncomfortable in both pictures.
The only thing I don’t love about her look is her eye makeup. A bit more oomph would have been nice. I love the dress, I love the flower, and I love her necklace.
She’s pregnant so I will give her a break because I remember how I felt during one of my pregnancies—and that is how Natalie looks she is feeling in this picture—tired and peaked. Maybe she is having some morning sickness during the evening too. She is always lovely, but this really isn’t a great look for her.
I hate that red flower in front of her dress
I always think pink is gorgeous on Natalie. The shape of the dress does a good job at making the baby less of a focus. Believe me attractive maternity wear isn’t easy to find. The rose draws the eye upwards away from the midsection and gives something for the draping to fall from. Exposed shoulders and arms show she’s still got her lovely shape aside from the baby and show her flawless skin and glowy color. She doesn’t look like a party animal which is a good thing.
I might have tucked a flower into her hair or gone with drop earrings or gone a shade darker on the lip but that’s a matter of taste.
My bigger disappointment was she didn’t show up with the backless gown and hair from her scene in SW3 where she’s talking about getting things ready for the baby. It was the most beautiful “pregnant” look I’ve ever seen although it does make you almost hate her for having hair that beautiful on a face that beautiful.
She’d make a good Pygmalion/”My Fair Lady” remake because the woman would look gorgeous in a flour sack.
PS– I saw her afterparty dress. I actually thought it was even better. Gorgeous cut and color.
She looks very elegant though her lipstick looks a tad uneven. This look somehow makes her look so much older. Maybe its cos of the pregnancy.
Nothing unfinished about this look. Perfect in every way. How stunning she looks. And wearing red and pink together? Brave choice, Nats!~
I LOVE the dress…I’m just not sure what I think of the rose in the front. At first I was put off but it might be growing on me. I’m on the fence. I’m trying to picture what it would look like without the rose. I like her hair. It’s simple but it’s still nice enough for an awards event. I like the simplistic jewelry was well. I don’t think the necklace was too heavy or too light. I think the look overall is very nice. She looks pleasant and genuinely happy and glowy.
i think she picked the perfect dress for her pregnancy, although i would have preferred her lip colour to match either the colour of the dress or the rose. that magenta-pink doesn’t really flow with the rest of the look.
